With the online fiasco this is the closest poker room for me. 1/2 and 2/5 pretty decent games over there? Prob just plan on weekends as I have school and stuff.

Re: Hollywood Casino @ Charles Town, WV Poker Thread

Given the weather and the whole Stars/Tilt situation, I finally headed over today for my first trial of the Chuck.

Arrived a bit before noon and got seated at a new 2/5 NL table in fairly short order.

Play is pretty typical of live casinos. Lots of limping, fairly loose calls being made, etc. The room was absolutely packed when I left. I can't compare it to other Saturdays, but the dealers commented on it being busier than usual.

Waits were out of hand when I left, but I didn't have it in me to stay all night. I'd say get there before noon to make sure you get a good seat w/o waiting too long.

I will be one of those...I look forward to switching from 1-4 tables of heads up to 1 table of nine handed and making 20% of my old hourly rate:-(

I played on Saturday and I think that the crowd was normal for a Saturday. Yes, if you want to get a seat quickly, best to arrive before noon on a Saturday.

Even worse news for you, the tables are 10 handed.

What are Sundays like at Charlestown? Still good action, but less of a wait? Sometimes I can't get there on Saturday before noon, and then the wait is like 2 hours. Just wondering...how many tables go on Sunday of 2-5? 5-10?

Any other online pros going to give C-Town a shot?

I think I'll be heading out there on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Can anyone give me an idea of how likely it is that there is a 5/10 game running on Tuesdays and Thursdays? I was thinking of arriving at around 2 pm (to beat rush hour) and leaving around 10pm. I assume that if there is a 5/10 game it doesn't start until later, so maybe I should do something like 8pm to 4am? I hate driving in traffic but I am perfectly fine with being awake at night:-)

So far every Tuesdays and Thursdays I'm there, they had 1 or 2 table going in the later afternoon. I'm not sure what time they start though.

GL. The play at the Chuck bears little resemblance to online play...

Sweet, that is great to hear. I guess I'll be heading over on Tuesday afternoon then! Anyone else going to be there?
