Yup that's him. Dude is an ass..but he is pretty good at being an ass so I give him credit for it. I was told he lost his fortune in Vegas and back to the daily grind now..

Woah sick story. Wow I can't believe you hit the jackpot. That's pretty crazy.

I don't remember any hot dealers, but I'm sure there are/were. Do you ever play at Hollywood Park?

I played their tourneys only because it was super soft. I don't like that area of town because I was followed once after leaving the place with about 4k in winnings. They do run a good 20/40 stud hi/low game, but other than that..everything about that place sucks. Back in the days, it was one of my destinations. I used to go to school in westwood so HPC was the closest.

And since we're on the topic of "sick stories" at local LA casinos, I have one to tell y'all.

This was early this year when I was sitting on HG's 10/20 game with about 2k of brown chips in front of me. The table was 6 handed and there was this young mid 20s white kid sitting in the 6th seat. Everybody called him by name so I knew he was a regular. The weird thing about this guy is, every single time he won a hand or picked up a bluff, he stood up and started to berate and talked sh*t to his opponents. It was weird because it seemed as if he wanted to start a fight because whatever that was coming out of his mouth was pretty personal stuffs..ie.."your mom couldn't even make that call..I did your mom so I made that call."

Anyway, make the story short, later on he got personal with a black guy on the table and this white guy asked if the black guy wanted to take it "outside". He then said, "i got stabbed six times here and I'm still alive, what do i care about you?" They were cooled down by the floormen and this white kid started talking about how he got stabbed. It was in 2010 when he was playing the same stake game and he was up around $15k and probably talked **** to everyone on the table. 1 guy from the table who lost the most, decided to call his friend to the casino. When the white guy left, these two other guys followed him to the parking lot and robbed him. They got into a fist fight and the white guy was stabbed six times. However, he somehow managed to take the knife from the other guy and "self-defense" himself by cutting the throat of one of the other guys. The guy that lost the most was beat up and got brain damaged. Somehow this fight was caught on tape and the white kid walked away as self defense.

At first I didn't believe him because it sounded like a story in a movie, but after the Mike, one of the floormen, nodded his head in confirmation and also a couple regs on the table also said that was what happened. I cashed out and put my name on the 5/10 game right the way. I'm sure y'all heard of last year story how a guy was run over after getting robbed so I wont go into details.

I dated a girl who dealt bj at Hustler's before. From my experience you should date them to fk them and move on. Because if you try to start a relationship with them, 1. you need money, 2. you need to be unemployed or play poker for a living. Because BJ dealers make the most money on night shifts (6PM - 3 AM). So they usually go "hang out" after 3 AM until 6 AM and go home and sleep the whole day. I went through that for about a month and gave up. Couldn't bang the girl at 6 AM anymore and realizing I have to be at work by 9 AM.

Lol, I won my first live tourney there on Halloween 2008. The Friday $150 when they used to get 250-300 players. Joe the floor guy was dressed in drag I have a pic somewhere maybe post it when I get home. crazy soft, chopped it more than a few times, I think we would def recognize each other...good times but yep I was pretty much sprinting to my car when I left the cashier.

I don't like playing these small live mtts esp at the gardens, structure sucks, tho the play is loltastic. Anyways, if you're going to HG this weekend and would like to meet up PM me I live literally like 5 minutes away locally. I'll go just to meet up, most likely won't play.

That stabbing story is pretty awesome. Yeah the old guy getting run over was on the news so I read about it in the paper. Wish I was home so I could go hit up HG lol.

the only tournament I ever played at HG was the 150 Friday 4 PM ones. They used to run it really good that every Friday it was the place to be. They also had 30k guarantee too. Until Commerce saw what was going on and put an end to it. Now you still have the Friday tournament but it's not the same. HG's TD is a joke. I hate that guy so much that I promised myself not to ever play their tourneys again.

Ah, here's the PLO thread. Looks like the merged it into a generic HG topic. IMHO PLO stuff should live on it's own.

I was there last week just for PLO and it looks like it's still going strong. Love live PLO! I wish this disease would spread across California to Bay 101 or Lucky Chances.

the 1/2 PLO game is a joke IMO. They even advertised to players to "bring a few buyins" to the game. I would be very happy if they change it to a 200 or 300max bi game rather than 100.

They run from 1/2 to 30/60. They usually have 1 or 2 tables running 24 hrs aday 20/40 game. 30/60 and 40/80 are rare. for LO/8 they have 4/8Kill and 8/16Kill

What game you looking for? low and mid stakes NLHE and LHE are pretty easy to find. The structures for blinds under 3 dollars NLHE will suck, can't buy in for more than 60bb in some places.

This game has been changed to a $100-$200 buyin game, and has lots of action. Still should "bring a few buyins", but it is starting to run every day. It started around 2:00PM yesterday, and they had 2 tables running on Friday and Sat night. When I arrived Sat night around 11:00pm, couple people sitting $1000+ deep, and plenty of action.

1. They are never going to have a short handed PLO game, simply because FR gets them the most rake. It may end short but it'll never be just a short handed game.

2. Adjusting is part of poker. Big deal if it's FR.

3. FR is vuuuury profitable. People are still terrible and there's more money to be spent on gutterballs and 10 high flush draws.

This is really dumb but what they've done is just created a separate 5-10 game with no cap instead of lifting the cap on the existing 500-1000 5-10 game. I just talked to the floor guy and he said it hasn't run yet. It's on the board though with no names might I add. Capped 5-10 looking strong. 9 pm on a Wednesday and two tables running.
