Most nights, there seem to be games going. I'm not sure when they stop, or if they stop. I've seen 3 or 4 tables at 7:00 am when I've come down - but also none. All depends.

Yes, it is safe to walk to the Borgata - a wide open field makes hiding impossible. I've never had a problem other than weather - which, considering the pouring rain coming down at the moment - makes walking a problematic, not to mention soaking wet, experience.

No $20 trick is needed, from everything I've experienced there.

I stayed there a couple of weeks ago. The room was nice (Harbor Tower I think), the poker room was fine, and the walk to the Borgata along the Marina was beautiful (except for the goose **** all over the place).

As for whether the games break and when, at least two tables of 1/2 NLHE made it through the night on both the Sunday and Monday nights I stayed there, but 2/4 LHE broke both nights. On Monday night it broke at about 4:00a, but not sure about Sunday night.

Never stayed up all night during the week, but on weekends, there are ususally 1-2 games that go through the night and I've played 2-5 til 8 am before too.

Borgata can be your back up if the games die, I haven't heard of any trouble in walking over there, but would never do it myself lol. would drive. get a reciept so i could get free parking over there.

Games will USUALLY run through the night. If you plan on packing it in at around 7 or 8am for a short respite, Harrah's should have at least 2 tables of 1/2NL running on a Wednesday and maybe more on a Thursday night. If you're hoping for like 6+ tables of 1/2 and 2/5 running @ 5 or 6am, Borgata is your only option.

Just this past Thursday night (say 2am) my wife and I made the walk from Borgata to Harrah's and had no trouble at all. In fact, there's a walkway right outside the poker room @ Harrah's that goes to the surface parking lot @ Borgata which is also just outside the poker room. The walk isn't too long at all.

While at Harrah's, I'd say Cafe Espresso is fantastic for getting little snacks, coffee, etc. The Deli has a great late-night menu. Expressions cafe is overpriced. The buffet is not quite as good as Borgata, but still a good value. The workout room next to the pool is sufficient if it's not crowded, but not impressive. The pool is nice during the day and at night if you're into clubs/dancing.

Instead of using the $20 trick, I suggest you use the self check-in kiosk. There is an option to amend your room request. This past Thursday I used the self check-in, amended my request from 2 queen beds to 1 king bed and was automatically given a "luxury King Suite" on the 16th floor of the Marina Tower. This suite had wood floors, a King bed (obv), a couch, flatscreen TV, and ample dresser and closet space. The room was comped and at check out there were no additional charges. The room is much better than what you'd get in the Harbour Tower, but I wouldn't call it a suite.

Trip report. Played 2-5 thurs night- 1 table and small list. There were probably 8 1-2s when I got there at 8, but action picked up around 11-midnight and later. In fact, long list for 2-5 at 1:30 am about 10 people. Others have said that the room picks up around this time on thurs nights. Seemed like some younger kids etc. coming in. Maybe it's the overflow from the midnight bounty tourney?

Any case, the 2-5 was great. Just the right amount of conservatism and gamble to make it an easy table for me.

Got free room, free buffet. Crazy buffet line? I walked up and lady was motioning people in so I got in line, by the time we waited 35min ate and left, the line was double the size and down the hall toward the pool. I can't imagine waiting what looked to be about an hour+ for the buffet. It was very good though- prime rib and crab legs for free!! Heaven!

Interesting note- my husband and I play together, however, I'm the only one who actually gets and offers on my card. He never gets the free buffet or video camera or picture frame stuff. Ever. You think they only send the offers to one address? Maybe I should change his address?

Harrah's hands out most of their free buffet offers for Mondays and Thursdays. If you go mentally prepared for a decent wait it's well worth it. My wife and I will be there next Saturday for the free video camera and some good free food as well.

Anyone else gonna be at Harrah's next Saturday for the free video camera and some poker?

Should say hello to me if you see me there.... I don't always get a chance to deal the 2/5 game, but usually I do... I am 1 of 3 Ed's (Ed at Harrahs is like Mike at Showboat), but I am blond hair and at 31 the oldest Ed there I believe.

Nope, no one else will be there except for Ed the dealer, apparently he'll be there. Certainly leave you with lots of open tables.

Seriously, I'll be there and so will lots of others.

Rokinon Fun Flix Video Camera = $78 @ overstock (soldout). Guess it's one of their better offers so I'll go and pick it up. Make sure you get there early.

Showboat had a free coffee maker offer this past Sat.. They ran out by the time I got there so they were handing out $15 cash...

I'll definitely make it a point to say hello if I see you there Ed. I'm looking forward to playing, as it's been almost a month since the wife and I made our last trip to AC.

I'll be down Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Mainly for tourneys this trip... but I'm sure I'll end up on the cash tables at some point so someone can call my all-in for 400 and some odd dollars and suck-out to crack my flopped set again!

you are correct only one offer per household
sometimes you change just change the address by adding an "A" after the number and it does the trick

Anyone going to see Chaz Palminteri? I'm sure some of you guys got 2 comped tickets. I don't understand how I keep getting all these offers for just playing 2/5NL and throwing $50 in a slot once a month.

I'm curious how that show is, though I'd be content to just pop in the Bronx Tale DVD.

How do you get this poker rate? I called Harrah's to reserve a room at the poker rate and I was told they don't have this and the best rate he could offer me was $179.

Do you have to be offered the rate in the mail first? I would be willing to give them 20 hours of play at $1/2 NL if I could get Sunday and Monday at $59 a night.

I would talk to the pitboss about the rate. If you are willing to put down 20 hrs, your chances are pretty good.

I'll be there Sat morning myself. I'll be wearing pink, do say hi.

You talk to reservations or the guys in the poker room?

Reservations will tell it does not exist to get you to book with them...

The poker room will hook you up if you have your TR card # and have played there before.

Alright off to bed if I plan on makin' the 3 hour drive down there in the morning.....
