I haven't played Harrah's AC in awhile so can't say absolutely but in other Harrah's properties the rule is no cell phone us at the table at all One must step back away from the table if using the phone. I was informed of this by the BBJ junkies who got on me for answering a call while not in a hand. I didn't even pick up my phone as I was using it as a music player and answered over my headphones but the BBJ junkies caught it and let me know of it.

Now as far as that goes i have no problems with the rule. I'm not one of those who has to be making or answering a call every 5 min. I'm at a poker table to play poker not talk on the phone. Those that know me know that if they are calling while I'm at a table someone better be on their way to the hospital. Well maybe not quite that strict but only necessary calls to me are to be made while at the table and even then I step away from the table as a courtesy. If in a hand I ignore the call and call back as soon as possible. I bought the phone for my convenience not that of others.

Hitting Harrah's tomorrow for an overnighter and thinking of playing the 8:15 tomorrow night. Enough runners to make it worthwhile? Also what kind of games are usually spread mid-week? last time I was there it was mainly 1-2 and 2-5 NL and 2-4 limit with the occasional 3-6 limit and 2-4 LO8. While I hope to get in some NL because my NL game is rusty for reasons too long to go in to, my limit game has always been better but I prefer to play at stakes higher than 2-4, usually 4-8 to 6-12. I also like split games and mixed. One of the problems with NJ and PA poker is that they don't allow lo-ball games to be spread so I guess the best I can hope for is hi/lo. Would appreciate any info on what I can expect at Harrah's.

BTW, I don't walk well and can't drive for another couple of months so since I'm staying at Harrah's I'm playing at Harrah's, heading to the Borg is not an option.

hey wolfshead ill be heading down tomorrow too, using one of my comped rooms. I'll most likely be playing some 1/2 nl and maybe the midnight tourny if it gets enough runners. What do you look like so i can maybe come and say hello i've always wanted to meet a fellow 2p2

there is a pink chip (7.50/15) OE that will start noonish and break 5-7ish...if you're there that time you should check it out

Sometimes, the pink chip game runs later. It has been known to run past midnight a few times. Not often, and usually the 5-7ish (on the later side of that range) is the case. But it can and does run later on occasion.

I play cash, but players have told me that the morning tourneys do not fill on certain days. Mondays would be one of those days.

Played a couple of these last weekend, 26 runners on Friday 8:15pm tourney, 18 for the noon on Sunday.

Friday night at Harrah's in AC. Bunch of games going, including a 7.50/15 pink chip limit hold'em game, a 2/5 NLHE game, a 5/10 NLHE game, a 25-50 Hold'em/PLO/NL Stud? game.

The 5/10 going off is infrequent enough to be news worthy. The 25-50 whatever they're playing game is a first for this room!

Hey guys, what days other than the weekends is the room busy? I went to Caesars last week and it was pretty dead and not a lot of game selection on a Thursday. I'm really just looking to play 1-2NL.

It has been running pretty much every day. Last week it ran Monday and Tuesday (almost certainly Wednesday but I wasn't around to see). In fact, quite a few days - including during the week - they've been getting a second table going.

There are 1/2 NL games going 7 days a week. During the week is going to be slower than weekends - especially early in the week. But there will always be multiple games going after mid-morning or so.

Thursday had quite a few tables going of 1/2 NL, at least a table or two of 2/4 limit Hold'em, a 4/8 limit Hold'em table, plus a 2/5 game, the Omaha8/Stud 8 game (2 tables), and a table of the new 2.50/5.00/7.50 pink chip limit hold 'em game.

Plus whatever dailey tournaments were running (I'm not a tournament player, so don't keep track of them.)
