Actually, the Marina rooms are a LOT closer to the poker room - right outside of it, in fact.

I try to make it to harrahs every so often but I've never seen the cash games so full as they were the past week when I was there for the circuit. I play 2/5 religously there and I skipped event 6 so I decided to head down to the poker room to put my "interest" in the game. To my disbelief there were already 26 waiting! Great time to be at harrahs and ac for that matter. As for the 5/5 game I heard that was a goldmine and I never saw the 5/10 or 10/25 get started but I left yesterday.

I'm pretty sure the Marina rooms are not the ones right next to the poker room. Marina rooms are by the front desk.

Correct, the Harbour Tower is the one with elevators right next to the poker room.

And regarding room quality, IMO both Marina and Harbour are about the same. Until you get to Atrium Suites/Bayview/Waterfront there isn't much of a difference.

Harbor rooms (as of about 6 months ago) do not have in-room safes, if that is a concern.

[x] thirding that marina rooms are farther away than the harbor rooms. however, i prefer the marina rooms. not a big difference really, but they seem a little less beat up. plus i like to be closer to the new tower (buffet, food court, cheap pretzel place, pool).

im really bummed about the increased upgrade pricing of the water towers. i used to be able to just ask for a room there and theyd give it to me. then the $20/night upgrade started. now its $60/night upgrade ffffffffuuuuuuu

I played 5/10 NL Saturday night and it was a very good action packed game, must looser than I am used to at the Borgata. It was the first time I was in the room and I was impressed. The only knock was the lack of an automatic shuffler at the two tables I played on.

I actually had a room reserved in the harbor deluxe for 4 nights, 2 nights comped and the other two at $29 a night. I didn't really cared where I roomed b/c I would be in there only to sleep. However, when I went to check in I used the computer thing and it offered me an upgrade to waterfront for $50 a night. So I accepted and then went to the front desk and told them I made a mistake and didn't mean to click that (which I didn't) and they waived the $50 a night and just charged me the $29 a night for two nights fee. Next time though I'd rather stay closer to the poker room just b/c, and it was a hassle if I wanted to chill in my room during dinner breaks during the events, just a long walk and up a tall elevator.

I didn't know you were dealing there. I was at table 3. I was sitting in seat 4 and was talking about the Borgata some of the time with the player next to me.

I asked how often does the 5/10 run and got an answer from people and dealers of once every two months? Is that true? I know it was running because of the tournaments. It was a nice change from the Borgata.

Harbor rooms are in the same tower as Poker room. Marina is next to check in.

I love the poker room but not a big fan of the chips with the metal insert... Go with Top hat and Can / Paulson chips

Does Harrah's have a 5/5 game like the Boat, or just 2/5?

Also would these games be raked or time?

What are the min/max buyins for 5/5 and 5/10NL? Is 5/5 $200-$1k? Is 5/10 $500-$2k?

IMO the Harrah's chips are the best ones in AC other than the Borgata pink chips. The other casinos' chips seem dirtier and/or stick together, causing problems when stacking/cutting/balancing.

ya i far prefer harrahs chips to the borgata chips. borgata's chips are nice to look at but i hate using them.

I think Ed dealt for me last Sunday Afternoon. I was playing 1/2 nl sitting next to Mr. Miyagi, legendary AC ATM. I was wearing a shirt that had six deuce written on it.

The only noteworthy room I haven't hit up is Showboat. Unless it is a spew factory, Harrah's is going to be my favorite place to play 1/2.

No more 24hr sessions at the Borg for me.
