Did this room open on April 1st? Anyone been there yet?

I was there Friday night, room is just about finished, it actually has floor to ceiling walls on all sides. Same comp system that is at horseshoe will be in play there. Definitely 8 tables. Room is probably 80 ft x 80 ft square maybe a little bigger. Dealers are in training right now from what I was told. Floor guy said opening beginning of may for sure.

The dealer in training I know has like 2-3 weeks left to go IIRC.

That is extremely exciting to hear considering I live literally 2 mins away down the street....Tired of driving to the horseshoe constantly.

Don't "live in the joint", and you will always have a place nearby to play.

*Dealers should be done training next week.

*Room should have 6-12 tables with the chance of expansion if everything goes well

*May 3rd should be opening day

*Might spread tourneys.

Anybody have an idea of what stakes will be offer for LH and NL and if there will be any Omaha . Also any ideas of rakes structure. Hopefully nothing like the other IL casinos...

I heard mp3 players, yes, so I guess Hollywood has different state rules then harrahs. I also heard no 2-5 nl they will play 3-5 no limit.

I've heard they'll spread whatever can run. Which the cynic in me hears as ALL NL ALL THE TIME!, but the people I talked to are more optimistic/insane with dreams of Limit and Omaha and Pineapple (...) and 2-11 (WTF).

According to their facebook there will be tourneys and 8 total tables.

Yeah I would really like to see more limit games start showing up in the area. 10/20 and above would be excellent!

To put rumors to rest, its a spacious room with 8 tables, various games, mega bad beat, mini bad beat, plus other things like aces cracked etc... Doyle Brunson will be there near the end of may for the first tournament and book signings with meet and greet with the players. They will be giving away 2 trips to the WSOP Main Event for the poker room and 1 trip for table game players in the casino. There will be 3 Tournaments with the top 3 from each playing against Doyle at the final table with the winners getting a WSOP entry and 1500 cash for airfare. Go to Harrahs facebook page and like them for a chance to play in the tournament and they answer some question on that page about games etc.. Hoped this helped

from what its sounding like harrahs is going to try and run a room the way the customers have needed in illinois for many many years
