How many tables have they had running during the week? Is it worth a mid week trip?

I would make the trip during the week if Limit ran. Casinos dont cater to an individual.

Yeah but most poker rooms do run a monthly tourney with a higher buy-in so I don't think my suggestion was only with me in mind. I do think some other players would be more likely to make the trip the the Key on the day a monthly tourney ran.

Just trying to follow your logic from before. Might want to stop shaking your head, somethings going to fall out.

I'd love to have a bigger tourney once a month. It would get me back there more often and I know tons of people from Greenville/Upstate of SC that would make a drive for that. As far as rake, it's Harrahs, it's going to be high. No competition to drive it down. 20% is the norm there. A 50 person tourney on Sat nets them $1000 for almost no work/effort. 1 person can run it and the rest of the room with out much problem.

There are not tons of people waiting to drive to Cherokee for a higher priced tournament. They may drive for Live dealers or promotions. Higher price tournaments are not going to do it. Sorry!

I too would like to see a larger buyin monthly tournament like one Saturday or Sunday per month. Mardi Gras in WV does one the lay weekend of the month and it's makes $100k gtd typically. Obviously would expect a better structure for more money/rake.

Yes, they will have live dealers, real chips, and real cards. They WSOP tourney will be held in a different room.

The current games on PokerPro tables have live players, and only the dealers, chips, and cards are electronic).

How was the poker room crowd this past weekend, I couldn't make it up this weekend.

The leaves should be at about their peak colors, even the previous weekend had the town packed with leaf lookers. LOL But I don't know if any of them play poker.
