Does anybody know when they move the poker tables back on the 1st floor, I hate playing in that event center.

Re: Harrah's Cherokee (Cherokee, NC) Poker Thread

Hey folks,

I've been reading through this thread and I am looking for a couple of answers that I can't seem to find about the poker room at Cherokee. I'm going to be there next week for a couple of days.

I'm getting mixed info about the alcohol issue...The latest I've heard is that they do serve alcohol, but it's not free. How accurate is this?

How often do games run during the week? I'll be there from Wed-Fri and I hate to make the trip over to the casino if there isn't any action.

Thanks in advance.

Alcohol report is accurate, there will be plenty of action for you as long as you play 1/2 NL

There was talk of them expanding the number of tables, close to doubling them if I recall correctly, when is that going to happen? Anyone know?

I was told it will be in the new section currently under construction. Mid 2012 was the date I heard.

Re: Harrah's Cherokee (Cherokee, NC) Poker Thread

Just wondering how the action was during the week and weekends with the busy touristy summer season upon us? Also, does anyone know of any regular tournaments they have over the weekends? Their website is pretty useless.
Thanks.

Yes. Physical cards aren't allowed anywhere in the casino.

Sat. tournament was full and probably 15 players left out. Good tournament though and good cash games afterwords.
