The Best Western is about 3 miles from Harrahs, and allows small pets.

Thanks but I don't think my 90lb boxer/pitbull mix counts as a small pet. lol.

Re: Harrah's Cherokee (Cherokee, NC) Poker Thread

I went to Harrah's a few weeks ago. Girlfriend tagged along so I couldnt really accomplish much. Tripled up in 45 minutes with AA on a AJ2 flop (he goes allin vs me with QQ oooook) and KQ vs Q3 allin on QT825 river, after I check river he jams and I snap (pot committed). I like how he tells me "i got the queen" like thats all that ****ing matters lol. I just mumbled "yeeaahhhh... i do too....."

It was nice not having to count the pot or worry about any angles, but I still prefer cards+chips. I can actually see them better.

Nobody can loosen up a game like Future. I love it when I get to sit at his table, not to go against him, but if he shows a couple of bluffs, everyone gets a little crazy.

Anyone have updates on a potential MTT schedules/buy-ins now that the freerolls have ceased? I'm guessing we're gonna have to wait until September.

Hey, how's the action on weekdays? Do they usually have a decent crowd? When does the casino close?

Smallest and most common game is 1/2. 2/5 game is pretty infrequent actually.

Casino doesn't close. And weekdays are pretty hit and miss, but you can usually count on at least three or so tables going during the eve.

Thanks, Czar. I'll be traveling through NC labor day weekend, and plan to hit the Cherokee for a nice long session on Monday or Tuesday to kill some time. Anyone ever pulled an all-nighter there on a weeknight? Is there usually at least one table going all night?

I've never been there when there hasn't been at least one table going, but I've never been there at 4am on a weekday either. I'm pretty sure you'll be able to put some serious hours in if you wish tho.

I played this past Wed till about 4 am. Game was starting to break when I left. Getting short handed...It probably died soon after I left.
