probably not. you have to have the physical card, with money loaded on it, in order to even get on the waiting list.

So, once in the casino seek out a help desk that can set you up with the physical card. It's fast.

Then find the poker area, and if you are facing it, go to the cashier cage off to the left to load money on your card. Take cash ideally. At the cage, it's like $17 to load the card straight off your ATM card. Or, there's an ATM 30 feet away that charges a $4 fee.

Confirmed Saturday night. EconoLodge... Walking distance for decent price and I don't think I saw a single terrible review. If someone knows a good spot for lunch/dinner w/e shoot me a PM.

Just got back from my second trip there. The more I play at harrah's cherokee, the more and more I like it. The pokerpro tables are really great, not better than multi tabling online, but definitely 10000x better than regular live games.

This place is pretty much a gold mine for any good player. I'm going to try my best to make a trip there every weekend (either thurs/fri nights, or thurs/fri/sat nights).

SSSHHHHHH! dont you know not to tell where the good fishing holes are! I saw your name on the 2 5 list friday, but you missed it when it opened. played it an hour, but the 1 2 was a bit juicy at the time. up 1000 in 4 1/2 hr, out before 10 had to get home.

Ya honestly, I don't have enough cash on hand to feel comfortable playing 2/5 until I can get my money off tilt. I honestly don't like playing with less than 50 buy ins for live. I've cleared 3k in about 60 hours so far, and honestly I've felt like I've been running bad if anything during that time.

Also the other reason I don't think playing 2/5 is necessary at cherokee is that the 1/2 players are so much worse, and with the no min rake, .25 cent increments, no jackpot drop, no dealer tipping, it is probably more profitable in my opinion. I haven't played the 2/5 so I can't say this definitively, but logic suggests this to be the case.

So after 2 weeks of playing (60 hours total) I'm starting to get comped room offers, even for weekends. This pretty much eliminates most of my expenses for playing here (30-40$ on gas, and I bring my own food + get food comped mostly). Definitely going to try to come as much as possible now.

Correct. If sat rooms weren't booked I'd be able to get those too. Most likely going to get maybe weds + thurs/fri night, then play most of sat after checkout.

Sorry for cluttering the thread, but I have comped rooms for this upcoming weekend on thurs/fri/sat nights. Shoot me a PM if you are planning on coming on any of these days and we can work out something (I'm really just looking to cover my gas expenses tbh).

I can only speak for thursday. I got there this past weekend at 3am thursday morning. There was 1 1/2 nl game running, it got short handed around 6am, and stayed that way till 11am or so. My guess would be there's usually 1 table that will run overnight then from 11am/noon on there will be 1-3 tables running. The players during the week are generally as bad as the ones on the weekend, so it is still easy money if there are games going.

Not for long. Add 20-50 internet grinders and it should get less soft once they adjust.

I played this past Saturday, and had probably 3 internet guys at my table, so didn't seem so "soft" to me.

+1

Had a bunch of super nits trying to grind it out on my table Saturday and the rake just ate us up. Only remember 2 people leaving winner at the table after a 10-11hr session and they were not up much. On Sunday, I'm pretty sure 4-5 guys were from online at the table with 4 regulars that were not giving anything away. I just got up and left. Compared to 1/2 and 2/5 games I've played in New Orleans, Florida, WV, Indiana and Vegas I have found Cherokee to be the toughest room. The only reason I regularly play their is have no other options due to the situation I'm in.

Yea, I wouldn't say this is run good, but more like "running like god". I think that the max long term win rates expected can be in the 20-30 an hour range, which is a little better than live poker rooms. This accounts for not tipping dealers and faster hands. If you think you can make more an hour, go read the $1/$2 winrate threads.

Also, Ive been in there during the week, and its horribly nitty. Last Monday, pot averages were $27 and $34 an hour on two different tables.

I agree with JesseBurke, Florida is the place to go.

Incorrect. Just talked to Ron Director of Table Games. 20 games total, 16 for tournament and 4 for cash games and as tournament games break they will turn to cash games. By evening you will have more cash games than before. Well thought out and should be a great week for poker. Ron said anyone can e-mail him to get the real info at hagerr@caesars.com

Ya sorry for the misinformation, that was what they told me the first time, but I called back and got better clarification. They said cash games would be in a different room though during the tourny however. This should definitely be a great weekend to play.

Yeah, ducksauce I'm pretty sure they got new tables yesterday and they'll be in by this weekend when they move the tables[to the second floor?]EDIT: seconds too late.

Winrate over the weekend was 19/h this is still obviously a lacking sample size but I'll be back.
