3 stops in Cherokee.

Harrah’s Cherokee remains the only locale with three stops, scheduled (August 2-16, 2017, November 23-December 4, 2017 and lastly April 12-23, 2018)
Any guesses or insight as to when the August tour schedule will be out?

Either there is a typo on event #1 or they have reduced the rake by $9

Awesome thanks. Not sure why the schedules are so hard for me to find. And yeah looks like it's just a transposed digit. To the right says $365.

I have a complaint about not getting our players card swiped to earn the comp $'s/tier credits in the events center. I'm sure the players getting a seat in the actual poker room is getting their cards swiped for the $'s and tier credits.

During the last event, when I finished playing, I went to the poker room and told the brush that I just finished 9 hours of play and he entered it in the system. The next day I checked online and saw that he had given credit for 12 hours of play. They won't enter it beforehand. You have to talk to them after you finish playing.

Thanks for the info

I'll be checking this place out on Friday as it's close to the location of my golf vacation. Hoping the wait isn't too long. Have to forewarn you peeps that play here though, I'm on a bit of a heater right now.

June
8 sessions of 1/2
32 hrs
$112/hr
240% ROI
+$3597

If anyone wants to say 'hi' while I'm there, I'll be wearing a shirt with a picture of two dogs and an old guy(from the movie GoodFellas).

Heading here Thursday night for the first time in a year. Looks like they got rid of the electronic tables? Are the $1-2 games significantly weaker than the $2-5? I remember $2-5 being pretty weak a few years ago with a lot of old NITs.

And how are the nightly tournaments? Usually I'd just play cash but am playing in a WSOP event in a few weeks so want to play a few tourneys beforehand.

Any idea how many players they usually get for the Sunday 250?

So that was fun. Pocket aces very first hand to only get cracked on the river when a king hits for my opponent to have two pair.. kind and 8s with my opponent saying "pair of aces, neat hand "in a very jerky manner. He's was a regular for sure.. silver Gray hair, beads as bracelet and a copper heart had a card protector.. and consistently on his phone.. even taking a solid 15 sec to finish what he was doing on his phone and act.. tilted the f out of me.

Great chairs, lighting subpar at my table (16). my table was super weak, wished I could have stayed longer.

Went there last Thursday and could not believe how terrible the players were at my 1-2 table. Late regged for the $80 tourney, which was a bad idea cause I came in with only 15 bbs and they take a ridiculous 33% tournament fee. So wasted a few hours where playing cash would've been much more profitable. Played $1-2 for about 6 hours after that and walked away +$500 even after losing a big pots near the end.

There was one hilarious hand early where I open raised from the CO with As8s, button calls and so does one limper(old guy named Denver). Flop 10 10 2, 2 spades. Denver bets about half pot, me and BU both call. Turn queen of spades, Denver bets about $50, I shove all in and they both call!! I know I have the best hand but am a little worried of the river pairing the board and giving one of them a boat. Turns out Denver had a lower flush that I coolered and BU had pocket aces. I couldnt believe he flatted preflop lol. Then later in the night, I have AJ vs the same guy who has A10. A10XQA on the board and I escape with a minimal loss after he calls my river bet with a full house. I thank him for not raising and he goes "I thought you had AQ." LOL. And this guy wasnt even the worst player at the table---I think he ended up around even. I'll definitely be heading back here soon, maybe tomorrow night. I want to check out the 2-5 games but may try to book a few more wins at 1-2 before upping the stakes.

Yeah I didn't want to blast the player pool as to not offend anyone but goes lord my two sessions were interesting.

One hand that I found funny..

Hero mp open to 17, 2 callers.

Flop A2T all hearts. Hero leads for 25 to rep ace and charge heart draws , one caller.

Turn ace, hero leads 40 to rep ace with "value" bet, opponent calls.

River off suit 7.. Hero leads out for 70 for another "value" bet since heart draws missed..

Opponent thinks for a bit and says "well I can't fold this hand" and calls showing T9.

Obviously my opponent gave zero thought outside of his 2 cards

Probably head up there Sunday or Monday and put in a long session, I'm assuming 4th of July weekends are fairly decent.

Quick newbie question about total rewards, if I want to use my points in the food court or gift shop or wherever do they just swipe my TR card directly at the register or do I have to like redeem the points first?

I've used it at the food court and they swipe it right at the register.

Long session achieved, played from 2pm to 630 am. Not quite as busy as it could have been but I know Saturday was slammed and I'm sure tomorrow will be too. Still decent actio going on. At 6 am there were still 6 tables going.

First post! I wanted to look up info about this room and found this thread. I will be at Cherokee tomorrow afternoon around 2 or 3 for 1/2 cash game. I haven't been here since the old days of the weird touchscreen digital tables. Looking forward to live action! Any other thoughts and tips about the 1/2 competition there? Thanks guys.

Was wondering the same thing. Am hoping to plan in a Circuit event or two and wondered how the action was Sundays.

1/2 games here are pretty typical. If you're not used to live games, make sure you announce your action before you've put chips in the pot. I've seen more new players inadvertantly string bet here than anywhere else I've played. Good luck!

was there last night there were 3 or 4 1/2s and 2 2/5s. the must move 2/5 was awful but the main game was one of the best 2/5s ive ever played in. probably 15K on the table and 30-40 preflop 4-5 ways every hand. They were trying to get PLO started, but I had to leave at 11 and it still hadn't started yet.

for the tourney players, The 80.00 tourney got like 75 people, i remember looking at the screen it paid 8 with 1400 something up top. There's no play it in though, when there were 22 people left avg stack was 11 bigs. And yes, as someone mentioned above it's 60+20 juice absolutely unbeatable long term.
