2/5 buy in can be up to largest stack, no reason 1/2 could not be the same and would still keep it "local/tourist" friendly.

Just play 2/5. It's beyond me why anyone would want to play 1/2 with a 7 dollar rake, especially during the wsopc. This is the softest stop of the circuit by far. If you can't be 2/5 during this stop you need to revamp your poker game. ABC poker is all it takes.
I shouldn't even post this.

#more fishes for me.
The past three years combined I've made 112$ an hour playing 2/5.

I don't play 1/2 and 1/3 for too many reasons to list, just commenting that it would make sense for that game to not be limited to the $200 cap based on the 2/5 buy in

Was variance on your side at all? How long did you play?

Yes, I hit some rungood at the right time. 137 hours total in the past three years combined. I log every session and I keep these hours separate from when the wsopc is in town.
Obviously my hourly is a lot lower when wsopc is not in town.

I'd play 2-5, but can't stomach the inevitable run bad and subsequent multiple buy in loss....1-2 losses are hard enough to stomach.

Kevmath probably knows where to find this. I'm curious about the blind structure with a 50k starting stack for $250, kinda seems absurd tbh....I bet they run it as a turbo with 20 min levels.

Ok, new. But is there some important diff?

Ed: ok, evidently not new. Still same question though.

They used to payout the sngos with lammers vs casino chips. You then had to sell the lammers if you weren't entering any of the mtt tournaments.

Run good during wsopc officially over. - 700 playing 2/5 nl.
-1600 playing 5/5 PLO.
I did participate in a heads up PLO pot where I had 67% equity when the money went in on the flop, only to get rivered.
7k pot, no big deal lol.

Has anyone heard more about the poker room moving? I can't see them moving it downstairs and the bowling alley is not going to occupy any part of the room as previously speculated.

They are getting more "poker" table games like Crazy 4, Pai Gow and Ultimate which means gaming space downstairs is still premium.

Guess I should have asked when I was there for the Circuit but seemed so logistically improbable given the alley location (allowing outside access for minors).

Does anyone know if they are cool with a wife/girlfriend or whatever sitting behind ya and kinda watching while you play? I've never really had someone do that but I've obviously seen it a lot. It seems some poker rooms are way more accommodating and cooler about it than others.

I'm not going to subject my girlfriend to watching me play a bunch of long sessions, but we'll be there in a few weeks and she's worried she'll have nothing to do while I play poker and she actually wants to watch a little as she's really never seen or played poker before and is curious.

i've seen it a bunch of times here. no ones ever been given trouble over it as far as i know. my guess would be as long as no one at the table complains they won't care

Is there a way to find out the average number of runners for the Fri/Sat/Sun tournaments at Cherokee? Not the WSOPC stuff, just the normal tourneys.

I heard for the $580 tourney they get 20-40 players. They moved it to 4pm beginning this past Saturday because people didn't want to play until 1am. IDK about any of the other tourneys.

Don't know about the average, but last Sunday for the morning $80 they had about 45. Dealer said they usually get 40-60. They had a similar number for the $250 on Sunday a few weeks ago. Friday night generally 50-60 when I am there.
