Looked through and did not see a thread for this poker room.

This was one of the first poker rooms to open in Detroit once they got casino's. It used to be in the upper corner and was filled with smoke and windowless (the area is now video poker and keno machines).

The new poker room is on a lower level and is secluded from the rest of the casino. It kind of gives it an old club look. They have about 12 tables and typically will be spreading 1/3 & 2/5 NLHE, 3/6 & 5/10 Limit, sometimes 1/2 PLO. They have a 5/10 Omaha Hi/Lo w\ Kill on Tues/Thurs/Sat. Other limits and games are on an interest basis. They usually offer free food (hot dogs, pizza, peanuts, etc.) and free soda.

The dealers are fairly good with running the games (A lot better than the old days lol.). Action is smooth, and most of the players are of a broad range, but mostly average to decent.

They run SnG's during the week usually and some other tournaments on occassion. They also have a bad beat jackpot for Hold'em and Omaha.

They are open Sun-Thursday 10:30am - 2:30a and 24 hours Fri/Sat.

Indeed, you are the first for a thread for this room!

Just an FYI - nearly all of the Detroit area regs post in this thread: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/20...etroit-737949/

I went to play there last week and was shocked to see only one table of 1/2 nlhe and one table of 3/6 limit running on a Thursday afternoon. I believe most of their action is on Tuesdays and Saturdays now when a 5/10 O8 game runs most of the day.

Not crazy about Greektown. At least 1/4 of the dealers are horribad. The nearest bowling alley with a charity room gets out twice as many hands, despite not having an auto shuffler and having dealers that reek of weed. Plus, the rinky dink bowling alley manages to have more comfortable chairs.

One of the worst run rooms in the area. Players are miserable, dealers are just as grouchy, and possibly the worst floor (no one really runs the room, there can be four different floor people and each of them have their own rules) Ive seen hands mucked because they touched the betting line. One day a hand gets mucked because they accidentally showed their cards heads up. Read the detroit thread or google search greektown poker twoplustwo, its legendary bad.

That sounds like the "good ol days" when I starting playing live and it was filled with smoke. 90% of the dealers were horrible, and the floor was wishy washy on calls. I stopped going for a number of years, and happened to stop in once probably 15 months ago, and that particular visit it seemed to be better run than before, but it seems I must have gotten lucky that day.

Went to the Omaha tournament on Saturday before the Tigers game. Hope it gets some more runners. Only had ten runners last week. Cash games there still attract spewy, drunk players. Played cash under an hour and got it all in three ways on a 983dd flop with a pair of black tens and held. MP mucked without showing, but original all in player flips over 85o.

Bump for anyone subscribed to this thread. There will be an 8-game meet up this Saturday starting around 5:30 pm for anyone interested. Check the Detroit thread for discussion/details.

I talked to one of the floor managers about spreading this game, and they said they would run it. The room has made a few upgrades since I last posted itt, like new chairs, Bravo system, and poker game announcements over the general casino sound system.
