uh bump?

I got $200 that says I can win $1500.

I just go there and push pots the players suck for the most part. I am looking to play again soon if anyone wants to run some tables with me.

I played at Aurora a long time ago when they had like 5 table all riding limit play.

I am glad Elgin had put in tables, I told them 7 years ago they needed it and now they know whats up. No one be playing slots in that ****ty whore of a casino at 2am on a Tuesday like it used to be.

-**** one more edit... while I was playing at Aurora with their limit bull****, everyone was rererasing everything, complete casino players... I hit a pair of aces and flop a set... I ended up losing like a $1800 pot to kings that also flopped a set and made quads.

Good story.

This makes no sense. Anyone who knows mathematics knows that a poker room is a "loss leader". Casinos make less profit per square foot at live poker than virtually anything else.

yes but overall it is healthier for the casino. more options for the players is better if you ask me. ive even heard that they are doing an addition to rivers casino so they can build a poker room and i heard its going to be big. it could just be a rumor though.

It would make sense for rivers to add poker, but only after IL adds gaming positions. They will take a significant amount of poker business from elgin and the shoe being such a prime location. And with the constant business people from ohare it would b a 2+2 goldmine. I cant see them addin poker with more gaming seats though. Just my opinion. Im by no means a casino/gaming expert

No chance with the Illinois gaming laws. They're raking in money as is. $25 min tables all the time.

Would someone that either works or frequents the poker room shoot me a message? I'm interested in harvesting some 0.25 chips from this casino. Let me know if you have any available.

Thanks.

.25 chips are used for baccarat.

.50 are used to pay the odd blackjacks.

you wont find them in the poker room, but check the pit.

Poker Room Mgr, A study in Customer Appreciation, The reality show gone bad!
Hell I was really enjoying the exchanges in Episodes 4-8 above when the plug got pulled.
Confirmed, the ole Grand Victoria has a gone from a nice casino to the penny arcades since, WHAT ELSE?.. 2008. If you want to kill some time, grab a couple beers, meditate and read players at the poker table for a 1 buy-in quick fix then by all means DO it. It can be very profitable. Get the win, make a risky move with a small percentage of your big stack and follow the yellow brick road away from that sucking sound. When you start to see Flyin Monkeys and hear, "I'll get you my PRETTY" it's time.... Welcome to the wonderful "World of Gamble & the Greedy".
