re: Foxwoods Resort·Casino (Mashantucket, CT) -- FAQ updated 2013.3.1

I'm looking for a place to go tomorrow and I realize I only eat at a few places (Usually a quick burger/sandwich before rushing back to the poker room)

Looking for a place to eat with a lady friend where the focus is more on drinking than eating. I have never been to Scorpion Bar. Pros/cons? Any other suggestions? Anything but Italian. If I eat Italian I'll want red wine and that will lead me into bed. (To sleep, not for anything fun )

TIA.

I have done this a few times and it was so fun. Went to Burke, had a drink and the pretzel crusted crabcake, went to Craftsteak, had an app and a drink, Alta Strada, a pizza and a drink. Was a leisurely, fun and drunken evening.

Agreed. In addition to those spots, you could do it at Juniors, High Rollers, Scorpion Bar, CPK, Cedar Steakhouse... all have bars and good apps. Lots of choices if you do this.

Pretzel crab cake is pretty good. A little awkward to eat since its pretzel sticks, but still solid.

Bummed the kung pau shrimp and beef tips app is gone. It was a nice small meal.

Still haven't felt fat enough to get the bacon app at burke's. Someday it'll happen. Anyone had it? Worth a bunch of wasted calories?

I've had it a few times. The first was awful. Burnt and inedible. It's good but now where near as good as the bacon(pork belly) at CraftSteak. The presentation is the best part, honestly

i played the 400 last year-seemed to have less then stellar number of runners, the room seemed kinda dead overall to me (I guess lots of people doing the BBQ pool/beach thing).

I do recall it picking up late afternoon though. As for the 400 might be a soft field because grinders are in LV but again, not sure how big the field is. I was going to come up but wife's got me into something else.
