No I put my name on the 1-2 list and the 2-5 list as soon as I arrived. They called my name for 1-2 first and I was on a table in the 30s. I just cannot play 1-2 anymore it is soooooo boring and annoying. Guy next to me kept mumbling about "this place never lets you win, you can never win, of course his flush got there, of course you gave him the heart" the whole time. wtf?

Eventually I got called for 2-5 and I played on table 84 from about 230-430.

They opened up a 7th $2-5 game around 4:00 today but by then it was too late. From that point on every table kept having seats constantly open as we approached dinner time and the 6oclock tourneys, etc.

Why couldn't they have had 7+ tables running all afternoon when there was 80+ people wanting to play? I know, not enough dealers (they had a bunch of pit dealers filling in eventually). Why aren't they ever prepared?

/rant

After leaving the table I finally figured out how to get my 15 free weekly dream points from the kiosk (super easy, its like 3 clicks. Why are people always standing in those long lines? I think it was My Rewards, My Bonus Coupons, Redeem Dream Point Coupon or something like that. Super easy!

While I was there in the kiosk I was able to click accept on the Dunkin Donuts free gift and go claim that. Free travel mug and free pound of coffee grounds - not bad!

if i book a greyhound ticket online and print it out at home how do i get the keno/slot voucher and free buffet? do i show it to someone at greyhound or someone at foxwoods maybe? it's my 1st time taking the bus, i usually drive

I have never taken one to foxwoods, but I went on a charity trip to mohegan once and a mohegan rep came onto the bus and explained how to use them and then handed them off to each person as they got off the bus. I would assume Foxwoods does it basically the same.

Bus pulls in, you stay seated, driver gets off first and you wait till driver comes back with casino rep, he/she hands out comps as you get off bus. make sure you keep your return stub too.

In my experience when you enter their 'terminal' to get into Foxwoods, there'll be some staff behind glass who'll hook you up.

Random Stuff:

If you want to know how many qualifying points you have to make a king/ace card just ask at the rewards desk. 10 point days and above credited back to October will show. Then you just need to make
2500 (at 10 points a day) Or 5000 (25 points a day) The king should be easy for foxwoods regular degans

If you want to know how many points you made in a day (the kiosks and online don't tell you anymore) go to rewards location OR go to a slot machine, insert card, hit balance inquiry, enter password and your daily points, and overall points show (plus any free slot play you might have)

Just noticed they now sell the poker room Jackets, Hoodies ($52.00), Fleece, and poker room hat at the Pequot Trader store across from poker room escalator next to duncun donuts. These are same jackets you get for hitting a royal flush.

I've also noticed that Black card stats are no longer found on the kiosks either.

They give it to you as you step off bus

They were there 2 days ago, will go check in a little while

(right now the double points the black card gives you is one of the best
things given the poker player. Points do add up quickly when playing long days
at 1.5 or 2 point per hour games.

Yeah I looked in the usual spot on Saturday and didn't see the black card logo up in the corner to click on. Maybe just a glitch.

When I used the kiosk yesterday, I was able to click on a picture of my card on one of the screens and it brought me to a screen that told me how many qualifying points I had and needed for the next level

Mine said something like:

Qualifying Points from 4/1/2011 to 3/31/2012:

Qualifying Points: 65......... Qualifying Points Needed: 435
Qualifying Days: 12........... Qualifying Days Needed: 13

(I don't remember the exact numbers)

No one would EVER know you can click your card to get to that screen though! It doesn't say ANYWHERE "Click on your card to see your stats", etc. I only randomly tried clicking it cause I read somewhere earlier in this thread that you could do it.

Yup that's the screen. Must've been glitchy when I tried it.

Oh! Another thing I just remembered is that one of the screens said I had a "Poker White Card"

Does that mean anything any more with the new system? Are there anything specific about being a "poker card"? Am I labeled as a "poker card" because I mostly (only) play poker, or did I sign up for it especially somehow when i got it 7 years ago? Are (where?) there any other "poker card" levels besides white and black?

Also I dunno why it said I needed to hit 500 points to advance to the next level.... I need 800 to advance from crown to king. Is 500 the minimum needed for poker black maybe?

Technically when you sign up for Rewards you start with a Wild card and White card. They're the base cards. White poker card just means you don't have a Black card. It's like how the Wild card just means you don't have a Crown/King/Ace/Royal. They're all interchangeable.

Check out the Chinatown bus too. In addition to the free buffet, you get 45 dollars in match play coupons.

You need 800 points to advance from Wild to Crown. You need 2500 points to advance from Wild to King. Your current point status in this regard isn't available on the kiosk, so not sure what you're talking about.

You need 75 days and 500 hours at poker to advance from White to Black card. Maybe this is what you're talking about?

OK, I guess I didn't realize there are two parallel programs run off the same card, and that advancing up the "poker card" ranks is independent from advancing up the "normal Rewards card" ranks....

The screen I clicked said I had 65 eligible points and had 435 remaining to go, so I guess that was telling me about my "poker card" rank.

Too bad the kiosk won't tell me what I need to get to Crown.

Ah ok. Yes they are parallel and independent programs.

It's not 65 points. It's 65 hours. Unless they've changed it??

You can find out where you stand on the Wild/Crown/King/Ace/Royal tier at a Host or Rewards desk.

Errrrr you're right, it was hours not points. I should have taken a picture of the screen so I wouldn't have screwed up the details

I get that you can ask a person at the desk where you stand irt moving up the Rewards ranks, but its too bad you can't look up the info yourself in the kiosk.

BTW Lattimer thanks very much for your contributions in this thread, you're a big help!

Lattimer, the black card kiosk glitch is fairly common. Surprised you haven't encountered that before. I'd say 25% of those kiosks don't show black card. Just try another one and it should show up that is if you can find more than one working kiosk.

I should have read the FAQ in the main post before asking some of my questions, it breaks down what you need to get a black card there. Unfortunately it won't really apply to me, since you need to play 75 different days in a rolling twelve months, that's over 6 trips a month (I rarely get more than 2 in in a month).

BTW, the FAQ should be updated, poker dealers no longer pool their tips.

Yes it's well overdue for an update. I've been meaning to get on that. I'm hoping to get to it this week.

Ok, so a weird thing happened yesterday at a 2/5 game that irked me. I would like opinions on it.
First off, it is not that big of a deal, it just pissed me off that this dealer would go out of her way to make things difficult for me.
So, I was involved in a huge pot on the river, I have essentially a bluff catcher and tanked for probably 5 minutes(the table was awesome about this, btw) while tanking, I decided to count the pot. The chips were in stacks by betting rounds. $120 in one stack, which was preflop, 2, $100 stacks which were flop bet and call, 2 $150 stacks which were turn bet and call and then the $250 river bet which was still in front of the player. So, I am tanking and mumble to myself, "what price am I getting" and start adding the stacks. The dealer immediately, knocks over all of the stacks and puts them in a pile. I could have counted the pot by memory obv(and that it what I did do after the ship knocking) but I was a bit flummoxed about the way the hand played out
So, as I said before, it is not a huge deal but was she just being a bitch about it and should I have not thrown her a redbird after I scooped the pot?

Hmmmmm... correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe it's improper procedure to leave the pot stacked up like that in the first place. She was actually correcting that mistake by making the pile. She may have zoned out about it, and only realized it when she noticed you trying to count them down.
