The recent average is about 140-165 players. It's a good weekly tourney with a great 25k/30mins blind structure

According the foxwoods.com website, the poker room is doing the same Monday Madness High Hand Cash Giveaway on August 24th. It is listed on the website as a special poker event.

The first Monday Madness was jammed packed until about 7 then the number of tables dropped quickly. The second MM you could get on a table at noon, but when 10:00 roilled around the room was filled and it was cool how everyone was focused on the grand. I left at 11:30 when there was no line at the cages. Can't imagine the lines at midnight.

Overall the day was a lot of fun, The room ran smoothly and unbelievable the cages were fully staffed all day long. Giving lots of props to the whole staff for the promotion and how the room was run all day long.

Cost me over a dime, chasing the HHJ last time. Will probably try it late in the pm next time. I noticed that there were a lot of games going around midnight last time when HHJ ended. Plan is to rest up prior to 10 pm then make my foray into the Valley of Death

For the first time ever, I've been getting free room offers. But when I try to book them, every date I try has no promo rooms available. Is there any way for me to see what dates still have available promo rooms, or do I have to try each possible date one by one?

PLO should be played 9 handed. It's stupid 5-10+ is 9 handed but 2-5 isn't. And the rationale given was because of "consistency". Foxwoods is all about "consistency". Load of horse ish.

What time should I get to the poker room tomorrow for Monday Madness. I can't be there when it kicks off because of work.

I have $500 in comp points from playing poker. Moving out of Boston; what is the best way to liquidate them, besides cashing out $250 at the Rewards desk? 3:2 name brand gift cards (e.g. Exxon Mobil)? Can I go into Armani or one of the Tanger stores and buy a gift card at 1:1?

Last time they had it, the waiting list moved fast. Get there whenever you feel like it.

Did anyone go to the high hand promotion on Monday? How was it? Was it as crowded as the first few times or is it starting to jump the shark?

I was there for a couple hours from like 6-9 I think. No long lists (1/2 and 2/5 seemed like open seating most if the time) and there was 75+ tables running. And nonstop discussion about hh. Maybe just my table but it was constant.

I decided to check out the Monday HHJ madness, since missing the first couple. My friends had been there since noon time.

Anyway got there around 7:40 pm and had no issues getting a seat, as long as you're not picky. Stayed there til 1 am, cuz didn't want to deal with Midnight cash out line. Ended day with small profit, so I may continue to check it out monthly.

Does anybody know when they eliminated the 9am tournaments? I was there last week and I like to break it up between cash and tournament when I'm there for several days. Just wondering...

It started in the beginning of July. They got rid of the 9am & 8pm tourneys only for Mon-Thur. They still run on Fri-Sun.

Does Foxwoods have currency exchange available? I've got a few hundred Canadian dollars leftover from a trip last month that I didn't exchange at the border.

I don't think so but not positive. I'm sure there's a bank near you that does it, many do.

I've seen it done at Rainmaker cage (when it that side was still open).
Guessing any cage will do it, try Pequot.

I've seen people convert currency before at the poker cage. It seemed like a hassle, but I bet they do it at no charge in chips.

I recently booked some rooms for Monday/Tuesday in August. Foxwoods has now eliminated from their website my mon-Thur Reward Points they were offering. Not a big deal but it seems like a cheap move to me. Is this uncommon or business as usual for them?
