More Q. about FW: It's been 10 years since my last visit.

Where is the best place for Hotel? How much would I expect to pay for FW hotels for one night? Are there any other alternatives if FW is too much?

Is FW still best place for poker in that area?? how's Mohegan sun as a comparison?

Thinking of playing 1/2 and 2/5 NL and some 10/20 stud. How are the games?? Are they comparable to Vegas Wynn or Aria games?? thanks

So if we are earning 4 credits for every point earned and get the "5 extra credits"..that would be 9 credits per point. Now we all know that playing 1/2 or 2/5 we get roughly 8 credits per hour...so with stated..wouldn't it be close to almost 26 credits per hour?

If thats the case, almost worth it playing a marathon session on Tuesday to get to platnum quicker
This is exactly what I thought too. An extra 5 tier credits ON TOP of the original credit amount

Whaaaaaaat??? How do you come up with 26 tier credits per hour for playing 1/2 or 2/5? You get 5 tier credits per point earned instead of 4 tier credits per point earned. So if you play a 10 hour session using the normal tier credits per hour rate you'd earn approximately 68 tier credits... if you play on that Tuesday you'll receive 85 tier credits for your 10 hour session. I'm still LOL'ing at the 26 tier credits per hour pipe dream you came up with.... if that was the case I'd play 20hrs per day every Tuesday in December and get half way to platinum in one month

I'm pretty certain that this is not correct.

My interpretation of the offer is that once a player earns a minimum of One Reward Point on that particular Tuesday they will be granted an additional 5 Tier Credits for that day. Play 1 hour or 10 hours of poker you will still relieve a total of 5 extra tier credits.

What limit games (20/40 and above) are typically spread at Foxwoods?

Do they go every day?

Thanks.

After looking at it a little closer, you are probably correct. No where does it say that it's an extra 5 per point..it's just a flat 5 tier.

What the hell was I smoking when I posted? LOL

Why doesn't someone just ask someone there and find out?

That would ruin the fun. Don't be a buzzkill.

20/40 HE - frequently-always
20/40 Stud - frequently-always
20/40 Stud 8 - rarely
20/40 Mix (O8/Stud8) - rarely
20/40 O8 - never
30/60 anything - never
40/80 HE - very rarely
75/150 Stud - weekends for the most part
75/150 Mix - the above game sometimes turns into this
150/300 Stud - Sometimes on a busy weekend

On their site, they will have a list of games currently running and it is accurate.

Any chance any of the higher ups of the Foxwoods poker room post in here? If so any idea if they will run the big 50 events again in 2017?

Ok...I went to the Rewards Booth this afternoon and this is what is going on:

Earn 1 pt playing anything and you get an additional 5 tier credits. That's it.

It's a shame that the person at the counter didn't even know about it until i told him.

So my original theory was correct, which of course was the worst scenario. I know this place all too well

If they go by the same tourney schedule in 2017 as they did in this year, then the next big 50 should be in Feb. We will be able find out soon when they put their Jan tourney calendar on their site and it will say what is coming up in Feb.

I went to Rewards booth earlier this week to ask for specifics about my Saturday reservation for the Shopping Extravaganza. I was told it was for Friday......wrong. I showed her my email confirmation for Saturday as she still insisted it was for Friday the 2nd. Then she told me about a Baking Dish reservation also on the 2nd......wrong. I showed her my email confirmations showing that this was not on Fridays but on Thursdays in Dec. Finally I told her it's Saturday I'm not going to argue this so where is it and what can you tell me about it. Her response, "Oh I don't know that. They don't tell us anything." What??? You are supposed to be the one with the information to pass on to the customer!! Awful. Awful. Who is in charge of operations at this place anyway?

You should've gotten an email the other day that explained all this. It showed you your shopping $$ and the places you can spend it. You can use them anytime today-Sunday (so she is correct, it does start Friday). You also have 1 hour on Saturday you can spend them in the Grand Ballroom... they list the vendors that will be there, as well as the time your hour starts (this is actually what you were trying to ask her about I guess). Next time ask a host instead of a Rewards Desk person.

Yeah I too had this problem. They are generally clueless about promos. Spoke to multiple people before having a manager come up and set me up with a shopping time. I kept trying to explain to them that I didn't reserve a time because how would I know what time I would be able to come 6 weeks in advance.

Until lats above post, I was unaware I could spend these points all weekend. None of the people at the rewards desk knew anything about where I could spend the points or anything. I and they thought it was only in the grand ballroom for an hour

I swear this place is ran by such incompetents

Just noticed that "poker play" was not involved in this. I got $25 (gold member) standard plus only an additional $5 for 2 months of play......SMH

look again....half way down it reads "enjoy your favorite slot or table game"

Just above the note about the $2 promo during certain dates.

You're right, I see that now. Usually it specifically excludes poker. Can lattimer verify?

I don't see where it specifically says poker is excluded. It is standard for Foxwoods to not group poker with "table games?" I do know that at Mohegan they are always specific disclaimers regarding poker. Anyone reading the Foxwoods disclaimer would assume that poker IS included since it isn't "excluded." This stinks!

Can confirm poker is absolutely not included in the bonus
