Ran the numbers (because I'm always interested in the ICM math) and it's really only the top three that gave up equity - and not nearly as much as I thought, either. The calculator doesn't take into account the location of the button relative to the short stacks and the fact that we were on two tables with one table having fairly equal stacks and the other having most of the short stacks.
Average stack with 14 left (bubble) was 10.5BB. 17BB was a monster stack.
No complaints about the deal and it gave me an opportunity to work another math problem which, in the long run, can't hurt.
Was surprised that the TD wouldn't rework the prize pool to save the trouble of collecting and distributing cash. But it worked out so no harm I guess.
