It is amazing to me how many people touch food with their hands after touching those chips

It's similar to having a pigeon take a dump on you - it brings good luck - try it sometime.

I think that a 4/8 game would get more attention from walk-bys and etc if they used dollar chips, instead of 5/10 with red birds. The sight of monster stacks of dollar chips being shipped and split is an attractive sight that I see employed at many other sites, including Commerce, the Bike, Venetian and a big daily game at Capitol in Sacramento.
5-10 is ok, but red chips are just a bit of a turn off to the casual player that you are looking to attract. And rookies and such like the sight of five stacks of chips equalling 100.00 rather than one.
Making o/8 more attractive to the curious will grow the game. Sure, it,ll be a p I t a for the dealers, but that is something they deal with at all the above rooms, with little problem.

Sigh. I was going to carry this joke out for awhile but I don't have the energy. I do recall specifically telling you that I was not on 2+2. Perv

I agree with making the Omaha8 game 4-8 with a half kill again. There used to be two tables (main game & must move) consistently when it was 4-8. When it was switched to 5-10 with a full kill, the player pool shrunk because not everyone can afford to play it. And a smaller game like a 4-8 with a half kill will attract more new players to the game who want to learn how to play. I also agree with using the $1 chips like they do at the Venetian - it gives the illusion of huge pots & creates action. Unfortunately, playing a dry 1-chip, 2-chip game with the reds seems to be the only version Foxwoods is willing to spread. I'll bet if enough players are willing to drive down the street, the other place would be willing to spread whatever game the players wanted...

one of the cage workers told me last night only 63 for 10k guaranteed i dont play many tourneys but for 160 seemed like a bargain
was too tired to tussle but that seemed like a low turnout

Omaha and limit games are dead. That's why no one plays them. We have 30+ NL games vs 4/5 total limit games full of dead money people on weekends. Foxwoods won't spread nothing that won't benefit them.

Learn NL - buy in $200 at 2/5...u hsve a chance at making some money. Come find me....I'll flip u for ur buy in!

It's the chips that I find disgusting, not the food.

Walk by players will pick up when the room is moved out of the basement.
Low limit players are potential no limit players or social players looking to spend time splashing chips around. I'd like to see a OE/7 card h/l rotation on the perimeter of the room when it moves.

I'd like to be on your table.

Limit poker is not for everyone but It can be fun for sure. I cut my teeth playing limit. aka just before rounders came out and way before the money maker effect.

I'd not say that the limit games were full of dead money dude.

I haven't been to Foxwoods for a few months and was surprised to see that a large portion of the upstairs is closed off. The pit and slots area near the sports book was all roped off. I understand they open that area on weekends only now.

What will that place look like if Mass ever gets casinos ? (not that I'm confident Mass will ever pull it off)

Are u kidding? Ever looked at limit games? 8/10 players are over the hill. In 10 years from today they won't be around! The other 2 players will play each other's heads up. That's why limit is DEAD

You are one of the reasons poker feels like it is dying. An over aggressive, Red Bull chugging donkey with no skills or respect for money so you throw $300 into an all-in shove. Yippie - you win and everyone else is a moron. Wah - you lose and somebody else is an idiot that sucked out.

I'd rather play a pit game if I wanted to gamble on the turn of on card.

Poker is several games that require skill from 7/2 triple draw and razz to stud, Omaha and hold 'em.

PLO and NL hold' are games of aggression and luck.

I wish a big room like FW in addition to servicing their large NL business would try to build up a player pool of games other than PLO and NL Hold'em.

I would love it if they built a PLO base first! The same few guys trying to start it all the time usually with no luck is not really much of a player pool.

It's people like you that make poker not fun to play. When poker gets not fun to play the $$ dry's up.

I'll note that Mohegan Sun allows food at the table. I've not noticed that the card condition is worse than Foxwoods. There's always going to be someone that will spread mayo over their cards, but the floor is going to put a stop to it quickly because it is going to slow down the game, not to mention gunk up the shufflers. They can always tell someone that they can either eat their meal or play, but not both.
