I am not sure how long this warmer than usual temperature is going to last, so be prepared for anything.
It was much more comfortable today then yesterday but still not as cool as it usually is. The hole in the ceiling in the center of the room is now tarped over to protect it from falling pieces of the glass flowers hanging above. It not only acts as a solarium now when the sun is out but also doesn't let any air movement in that stale environment.

Indeed... its all about air circulation.. warm air rises and cold air drops so that tarp acts as a barrier or insulation in keeping the warm air from rising and escaping the room and the cooler air from upstairs dropping into the room. Does anyone know the time frame as to how log its going to be blocked off? I found the temperature in the room was uncomfortable all weekend

Was there an incident that prompted the covering? Seems out of the blue considering how many years it's been there.

I confirm the 62.50 pts for $50 gas card. You can choose either Shell or Mobil. Haven't check but I assume the discount also applies at the pump if this change is permanent. Wouldn't make sense you charge more at the pump if you can simply get a gas card at Winners.

I was just informed that gas cards have been 1.25x for several months now. Don't know about direct charge at the pump.

There was but I don't have much information so someone can give us the details who may have been there at the time. Nothing seemed to have caused it but some of the flower chandelier thingy fell on the tables below. Fortunately no one got hurt but the area is blocked off and a tarp installed over the opening in the ceiling.

I don't remember if this got answered when I asked previously - is the BBJ eligible while the HH promo is going on? Or is it off during the HH period?

It can still be hit however all of the money raked for the BBJ ($1/ hand) on high hand days goes to fund the high hand promo and not into the BBJ jackpot... so while it can be won the BBJ amount doesn't increase on high hand promo days.

Apparently it is all caused from birds building nest in the flower on the ceiling and the flower falling apart... that's what a dealer told me.

Called to cancel a complimentary room for tonight. I was admittedly inside of the 48-hour cancellation window, but thought they might waive the $50 fee for me as they've done in the past. Nope, they looked at my records and cited that they had waived the fee for me once back in October 2016, and that was my one courtesy. And they also refused to take the $50 from my rewards points, saying they had no choice but to charge my credit card. Sigh.

It's 48 hours and not 24?

I actually don't mind this behaviour.

I'm sure there are a bunch of people who will lock up a bunch of rooms that they have no intentions of using. This makes it harder for everyone else. At least by penalizing them, it may give others more choices.

Mostly? Maybe not. Tuesday is $500 high hands every 30 minutes from 10a-10p, so that usually attracts a much bigger crowd than, say, Wednesday.

Also, I'm curious about your definition of "regs." The Foxwoods 2-5 is loaded with players who show up day after day and are, without question, losing players. Some of them are big losers. I'd call them "bad regs," but "regs" nonetheless.

I think SNG's have been dead here for a very long time in terms of non-satellite SNG's. Once they moved them upstairs it was over for them. They should have tournaments upstairs but SNG's downstairs with a waitlist for them to fill in one of the columns on the board.

Be nice if the room grows with more competition coming, I think something like run it twice at the higher limits could help.

I thought running it twice was either allowed or being considered for 5-10nl. Or did I see it wrong?
