LOL, nothing there surprises me anymore. Might as well put the tables next to the toilets lmao.

When will the tournaments start at Casino Niagara?
What's the rake on the 1/3 and 2/5?

No idea about tournaments, don't know 1/3 rake but 2/5 is $7/half hour same as FV.

The 1/3 should be the standard ugly rake of 6+1. That's probably why they increased the stakes to 1/3.

Does anyone have a confirmed number of tables at Casino Niagara?
Or when they should be getting bravo?
I guess it's possible since it's 2/5 1k I start venturing over some weekdays
Any 1/3 plo at CN?

Other hand -- I got seated immediately. Not sure if I just came at the right time or what but that rarely happened at FV.
They do take phone-ins, I didn't know.
Buyins increased: 2/5 200-1000, 1/3 100-300. Saw most people buy in for near the max at 2/5. Good news.
Food court is terrible. I rarely complain about stuff like this but they have one person taking orders for 3 restaurants. 30+ people in line, one person getting served a minute. Maybe it's ok in the middle of the afternoon but don't bother during peak hours. Also the KFC doesn't sell chicken, wtf?
On the other hand, dinner break is 1 hour so you have time to go outside.
As predicted a lot of the recreational players didn't come or stuck to 1/3. The 2/5 I saw today was pretty reggy. But it seems a lot of the regs are just used to autopiloting a 100bb stack against weak players like Fallsview 2/5, and don't really know how to adjust. I'm just as rusty when it comes to deep play but saw a fair bit of stuff I would classify between spew and christmas presents.
Ok so KFC does have chicken sandwiches and popcorn chicken. But not chicken chicken, you know, drumsticks and thighs. Again, wtf?
They are very strict about eating inside the poker room, unlike Fallsview where it was generally allowed as long as you were discreet enough for staff to pretend to ignore you.
Rumor is the rest of the games will migrate to CN when the bad beat jackpot at Fallsview goes off. Doesn't make any sense to me and nobody is getting reliable information, so I wouldn't read much into it. but there it is.
Look, KFC isn't even in my top 3 fried chicken. But I saw the sign and I got a craving for the colonel's famous recipe. And they don't sell it. That thing that's in all their branding and millions of dollars in advertisements. WTF?

anyway, my take is poker is alive and well, just different. Might change once all the people able to lose their money twice as fast actually do so.
I think they were always strict. Back around 2005 I seem to recall ordering a burger at the defunct restaurant right beside the poker area and eating the meal on the rails because they didn't allow any food beyond something you could shove into your mouth.

You can find some chain fast restaurants just outside Niagara heading in the direction of Fallsview. The prices are higher than normal but are still cheaper than anything inside Niagara(if the prices are still the same).

There's 21 tables at Niagara, in the old VIP room for now until the new room gets built in 5-6 months. It's a long, narrow room with low ceilings, but it's much quieter than FV. Somewhat functional, and the brush really seems to be trying to make things work the best they can.
The new room will have 27 tables apparently.
I doubt they'll be getting bravo until the new room is built. I think I saw a bunch of tables without the bravo box installed.
I think PLO will get running eventually, probably a 5-5.

The old one is just roped off and under renovation right now. Nothing there.

The new room (and large sports bar/restaurant) will be all where the old Yuk Yuks and Luckys steakhouse was, they're gone.

Actually, I'm kinda confused what is the snapshot situation for both CN and FV? Is it 1/3 and 2/5 at CN no matter what, and 2/5 at FV then it converts to 5/10 during the weekends, w/ reg rake for 1/3 and $7/half-hour for the rest?

ahaha you think that's ugly? I just moved from a semi-reg at fallsview/woodbine to the Crown in Melbourne. Rake at 1/3 is 10% capped at 15$ with no badbeat.

Count your blessings.

What is the 2/5 traffic/consensus like Fri-Sat at Niagara/FV in terms of what is better to play during this time?

DKB, Rocketman, KneedYourDough or anyone else know?

CN is mostly 1/3/300, but they run anywhere from 1-4 2/5/1000 games as well. Last night I was at CN and there was 6x 1/3 games and 1x 2/5 with a second 2/5 that opened at 10pm. Today should have another 2-3 2/5 tables going.

Both sites are session fees now. 1/3 is $6/hh, 2/5 is $7/hh, 5/10 is $8/hh, etc.

From the looks of it, it's near impossible to get on 2/5 at FV on Saturday with the BBJ this high unless you get there mid-morning. Even yesterday there were 40-50 people on the 2/5 list with 4 tables going at FV.

During the week it's business as usual at FV for 2/5. 4-5 tables going by 8pm, not too tough to get on, just call in 90 mins in advance.

Tx man. Did they remove the BBJ updates online? I can't seem to find it. I can see CN's but not FV's.

Anyone have info on this?
