They have all kinds of promotions going, including rating Tournament play the same as Cash, increased points/comps per hour, etc. But nothing seems to be working. Barely had enough for 1 table in a midday guaranteed tournament. Hopefully people get tired of the long waits to play at MD Live and start migrating back to Dover. Its a shame, its a very nice room.
I play at Dover, Delaware Park & Maryland Live. The waits at Maryland Live aren't long unless you go there on a Friday or Saturday night (prime time hours). Dover has always only had from 1 to 3 tables running each time I have been there, usually 1/2NL, 2/4L and maybe 2/5NL. Yes the room is nice but as you said they have no Bravo so you either have to call or take your chance when you drive there that you can get on one of the 3 tables. As far as tournaments go Delaware Park has the best daily tournaments in the way of decent buy-ins and starting stack and structure.
I think Dover needs to get the Bravo system so players can see the games running and for room information in general, but I doubt they will because Bravo costs money monthly. I would also like to see other games spread there such as maybe a spread limit 7 card stud game, pineapple, and crazy pineapple. Another reason players continue to go to Maryland Live is because of the variety of games spread there.
