Presumably that's more correctly 10-29 players pays 3 spots ... would they run it short-handed, if people would play?
30-59: 16% down to 8% of the field
60-100: 15% down to 9%
I guess I need SOME selling point for my home tourneys, since we pay much more of the field. For casinos, the draw is the big jackpots, of course... but I'd still like to see it a bit flatter.

they mostly chop it up anyway when it's short handed.

BTW, the tournament room is still scheduled for September 30th. Don't know where layemdown got his 21st from.

Inside onfo...kind of. I was told yesterday that they had a tentative completion date from construction of the 21st. But, who makes a dead line?
Even if it is done early, I don't have any information on if they plan to start using the room before the 30th. UgotTheTouch is right about scheduled opening of the new room.

Gee, I'm just trying to be a nice guy and share information (to much time on my hands). Maybe I need to back it down?

It wasn't meant as an insult. A prop player is one who on behalf of the house, but isn't a W-2 employee. Given how strongly you've promoted this room and how much you've taken a dump on others, I actually thought you were a prop for them. I figured you weren't an actual employee, since there was no special title under your name, so prop was the other option for you to have a good "in" on the info pipeline. If you're just a reg with a good ear for listening to the staff, fine.

Re: Delaware Park Poker Room News
Yeah. You go there enough and you'll get early information. Sometimes it changes, but everything I'd heard had eventually rolled in, earlier than expected.
Plus, the staff people are great there and easy to chat with. Got a nice crew working that room..

Re: Delaware Park Poker Room News
I wouldn't be a fan of glass partitions. I like the way it is with people leaning on rail and watching and the slot noise doesn't bother me. Then again, I went to too many Ted Nugent concerts in the 70s and don't hear all that well at this point ...

Re: Delaware Park Poker Room News
I really don't think they have prop players at DP, but it would be a decent idea to help get those 10/20 limit games going. I'd do that, but with what they're doing, I'm not sure they'll need to. I was a little strong on the topic of Charlestown a month ago on their board, and I still follow that thread since I pass through that area relatively often. I may have offended some of the Nova crowd and probably shouldn't have said anything prior to a visit. I don't get 1/2 ers playing those rakes and I suspect that they'll change from 6.00 time per half to 6.00 to 60.00 at chucktown like their sister at Hollywood Penn National. I really thought the rake/wait/hours was a big deal for most players like it is for me, since I'm not sure I can consistently beat the 1/2 game at that high a rake. I've learned that many players will play 5 and 6.00 rakes if the room is close to their home. Chester is a good example. You read so many negatives on the thread, but the pace is packed.
The floor guys at DP from Vegas and AC are really good folks and I ask a lot of questions. They read this board and now Anthony Chester even posts. They're very open to answers. I think one has me pegged as to who I am on 2 plus 2. He's one of the best floors I've had a chance to get to know...names [name removed]. New dealers in the game rotation tonight as they hired a bunch last week in anticipation of the new room. All seemed to have experience and some even still deal full time in AC and took the job as a part time gig
Played tonight for 4 hours. Had my name on pineapple and horse list, but was lonely on the board for the 4 hours I played. I noticed that the 10/20 limit interest list stated on the board 2.00 max rake on the screen. They may keep that going for a while to try to get those players in.
Maybe some of those mixed games will get going tomorrow night, but it's hard to pass up those weekend guys at 1/2 when they start drinking. I'll have to think about that one. I'd like to move to 2/5, but I'm not sure I'm good enough to play a game with 15,000 to 20,000 on the table like that max 1000 2/5 has. I'll play 2/5 in other rooms, but this one can sometimes play huge.....more like 5/10.

Jeez, $50 tip to the dealers for a single SNG??? I hope I never hear any dealers in that room bitch about being undertipped. Tough to beat a 33% rake in any case.

It says "staff" and from what I know of events elsewhere whenever they use the term "staff" instead of "dealers" it gos to a pot that is divided by the other casino staff; i.e. chiprunners, floor, cashiers and managrs. Probably $3o will actually go to the dealers, and sngs last around 1-1.5 hours. Thats about standard.

And the funny thing is they will be looking for a tip after you cash.
I love when they do that. I won 12k in a event at Harrahs in the spring and the guy takes me to the cage. The only reason to take me to the cage is to pimp me for a tip. The whole field already paid 3%. Always remember that when you win dont tip these people again its a joke. You must always think long term.
