Hope I'm wrong though.

30k chips is nice. I will have to venture back up there again soon.
The chipleader was a nice lady whose ride wanted to go home. And she had about a million. I had over 600k and was fine with the chop I think we were at 5k Antes and 25k 50k blinds. 844 was like 4th place money. 10-14 were under 300.

So honestly there was no pressure. About 2 people sighed "fine " but no pressure

Every time I've played there the floor has been fantastic about squelching any talk of a chop if anyone says no.
They are also really good about remaining quiet about who is requesting a chop (which will prevent additional pressure on the person).

If you are the one saying no chop just go speak to them in private if you want to and they will simply stop the talks when they happen.

Spoiler:
But lol @ chopping with 14 people.
The average play here is so bad that I'd pretty much never chop. Abuse abuse abuse the short stacks / weak players. At least wait for like 8 or less. when you're getting at least 1300 each imo.

I was there, the big stack had over 20% of the chips... she wanted to leave (older woman) and she offered to chop equally... no one was stupid enough to refuse. The floor never encourages or discourages chopping. Bullying is not allowed.

Has anyone seen the flyer for the Stack Builder tournament? Correct me if I'm wrong but it says the players that advance with multiple stacks will have them combined with advancing to Day 2.

That's what the floor said yesterday when I was asking about it.
You get to combine them all together, and you get $200 for each stack that you advance to day 2.
A pretty sweet set up imo.

Leads to some interesting survivor type decisions at the end of day 1 on a short stack however.

Wasn't the buy in much lower for the one during the MAPC?

I'm referring to the $1500 PLO one. I'm not sure how much the $100 PLO tournament had.

Played in yesterday's Stack Builder Flight 3. Lots of fun and great structure. I even get to move on to day 2. All players who move on to day 2 (top 10%) get paid out $200-not bad for a $65 buy-in and a chance for much more. Unfortunately, the snow storm this weekend will probably cut down on the number of entries for the tournament.

I played in PLO tourney last night. They had 57 entries. Pretty good turnout with bad weather and being the first time it ran. 15K starting stack and good structure makes this a better tourney than Harrah's. I did not see many Harrah PLO regs at DP.

5 way chop for $535 and I was lucky enough to cash. After we cashed, the most aggressive player revealed it was the first time he ever played PLO!

Yay, glad to hear it went well! I hope that (long term) this results in more new players playing in the 5/5 game.

With the recent poor turnouts for the weekend 3PM NL tournament's (30 or less) I am wishing for a return of the O/8 or horse to this time slot. We were getting 50 plus playing them.

I tried finding them too, but had no luck. I had seen last month's day two list with chip counts but never saw the results. I love playing at Del Park, but their social media presence really sucks. The new Stack Builder starts yesterday and not one post promoting it on Facebook or Twitter.

I do remember that they ended up meeting the guarantee, but I don't think that was until the final Saturday. They have results posted from last night's first session. Seven moved on from a field of 64. I'm trying to figure out how long one of the weekday/weeknight sessions goes, because I'd like to play in a few of these day ones.

How many should one expect for this Free roll in March? Top 30 get paid I can't imagine that many players are putting in 40 hours in February

70 - 160 depending on the month

I know everyone gets $200 for advancing a Day 1 stack and that the Day 2 prizepool is less everyone's $200 payouts. But are all Day 2 players "in the money" when they return, or are Day 2 payouts based upon the top 10% of those who advanced?

Last month 88 players came back for day 2. Only 27 finished in the money.

any general tips for 1/2 NLH here? Played last night, and aside from the fact that i only got 3-4 hands worth playing, the general play seemed very erratic and didn't make much sense. Do you guys just tighten up and get paid for premium hands or have any other strategies for here specifically?
