I've read an awful lot about online poker making a return.
But it's not the same online poker that you played prior to Black Friday because winnings are now going to be taxed.
Does anyone have specific details as to how this taxation is going to be implemented?
If you win $10k in a tournament, does the Delaware tax man take $2k directly from your winnings?

Nice PLO tourney tonight. Turn out was a little low. I suppose a few players were not aware the PLO tourney was running tonight. Hope it stays on the schedule and attendance increases next month. See you next Saturday at 3.

55 runners in the O8 tourney this month. Spawned an O8 and HORSE cash table.

It was a good turnout compared to the PLO tourney the week before. Lots of folks I talked to said they would have played the PLO tourney but didn't realize it ran last week. Lets hope they keep it on the schedule next month and people check the website.

Its pretty nice having this non-NHLE tourneys. Looks like it helped the house by spreading to extra cash games for HORSE and O8.

Could somebody who still plays there check with Kevin if there will be a Winter Classic this year?

I feel that as long as they make Winter Poker Classic a series of 10-15 events with buy-ins ranging from $100 to $250 and Guarantees of $10K to $50K, those events will easily cover as well as attract players to play cash after as well as long as the dates do not conflict with Borgata's Winter Open.

Your events are good and you always ran them very well - its just that been my view based on experience of playing many series tournaments in your room that most players who play in Del Park are recreational players and so bigger buy-ins are unlikely to work.

However, I am sure that $100 - $10K GTD and $250 - $25K Gtd or $200 - $50K GTD with multiple starting heats will get players.

i hope management realizes that players will still come when a great tourney is offered & will plan some more for the Christmas holiday week

I think that the turnout was great & that DP should be prepared for a lot of players on Thanksgiving weekend because the tourney offerings look pretty good

That is great to hear. Sorry I missed it. Maybe the newness of the Maryland rooms is wearing off. Affordable tournaments run by a knowledgeable staff seems to be the way to go. The cash games will eventually come back. Patience.

Played twice in the last two nites there. Great staff. Well run. Nice people. Looking fwd to coming back.

Those tournament numbers were inflated because it was Veterans Day and Maryland Live had no tournament. I made the drive from DC myself. A lot of us regulars from MD were there.

Also, the Delaware tournament structures are superior to Maryland which keeps players like me occasionally still willing to make the trip up.

Tomorrow's nooner is gonna be a good one and I'll head up for that for sure. 30,000 starting chips with 25-minute levels.

looks like Winter Classic will run January 1st - 13th. Website say information coming later

they should have started the Winter Classic on December 26 because a lot of people are off that week like me and I would have played in some events during the week

Ok but there's probably just as many people that are away that week.

I think I'm going to make the trek tomorrow. Kind of miss that place!

They do have flyers for the winter classic in the poker room.

The $65 HORSE tournament yesterday was a fun time. I appreciate their effort to do something a little different.
