1. Karma is as real as Jesus, Zeus, and the tooth fairy.
2. Chopping in bubble people is generally dumb unless you are near the bottom in chip count. Why would anyone want to give up equity to players who have not earned that equity by acquiring enough chips. In addition wouldn't you rather have the short stacks in a position where they think they can hold out and money, while you keep stealing their blind.

I want the shorties to know that when they get in, they have everything to lose, rather than have them safe with their buy in back and looking to move up.

I find people are either gung-ho about the bubble, always eager to start talk of giving money to the bubble when time comes. Or they are very against it, but will sometimes cave in to the pressure, especially if no one else objects.

It's a subtle case of mob-mentality. The few times I didn't speak up against contributing, I did so because losing $10 was better than the negative impression you then get. There will be people gunning for you -- and I realize that this is favorable at times, but I remember the few times this happened and the tournament was no longer fun for me.

Damn you bubble mobs.

THIS is how it should be done, if there's going to be a bubble gift. Do it after the others are out, so that you don't slow down the bubble play even more than it already is.

At least, imo. I'm not against a bubble bailout, necessarily, but when it causes conflicts and comes too early, I'm not that keen on the discussions.

Depends on the table, mostly ok, but some against the right wall were cooler.

LOL Dan;

I know your one of the greateast hot shot poker players of all time but if you low in chip and also close to the bubble wouldnt you want to negotiate $10 ? I would do it even if Iwas chip leader its the principle. Any player thats played for several hours earned ten dollars from me in my book. Gentleman we are talking about 5 or ten dollars not 100's just to compensate the person who is coming in at bubble. We have been doing this fro mthe beginning of poker history. I think the problem is that todays society and alot of poker players are jsut plain selfish and only care about what they can get for themselves not the other man. Karma is a B*****

I will be there 3-4 days a week now, i use to go once every few weeks, so regs will have an extra pain on their hand with me playing now. Unforttunately I will have to grind 1/2 until my roll builds as I have over $10k of my roll on FT right now, and it could be a very long time until I see it.

the back of the room away from the slots has been cold the last few times i've been there. problem is, my car is parked so freaking far away from the poker room most nights, that it would take me 15 minutes to go get a sweatshirt. there's gotta be a way to park closer.

Anyone know if the poker room has safety deposit boxes or allows you to keep money on account? With the crackdown on online poker, I plan on playing a lot more live and do not like taking my bankroll outside the poker room. I used to have a box at Borgata when I would play there.

I'm sure Athony can do something about it. Also, there is a financial department that I'm sure allows you to keep money on account.

For any Baltimore area online grinders who will be switchin over to live, drop me a PM if you want to carpool and make some local poker friends. I was a winner at NL100 and NL200 games on FT with a solid winrate.
