Just called the poker room. There are ~130 registered for the bracket on Wed night.

Also, I unfortunately can't make it there until Wed night to register. Can someone (from the Omaha/8 group who knows me) register for me? PM me and I'll give you the necessary details.

I spoke to Bob over the phone today. To register w/o being there in person, you have to have someone register for you. Either give them your DP players card or your name and DP Players card #. Also, they have to pay in cash at the cashiers' cage. No credit/debit card allowed.

Hi Layem,

Played there Satuday 8PM - Sunday 4AM. But, was able to log only 16 Hours.

I think I still need another 10-12 Hours for the April Freeroll.

Played three tournaments:

1. Saturday 11 PM Bounty - Was the bubble boy, collected 100 + 8 bounties, so, that wasn't that bad.

2. Sunday afternoon - got knocked out twice (entry and reentry) in the morning tourny.

3. Sunday 7 PM - Finished it as the chip leader, chopped at 5, they gave me the second place money and chopped the rest. So, my 1st first place finish in a live tourny.

As always thanks to the DP Crew (No# 2, Anthony, Floor(s) and Dealers (1 n All)). You make my trips to DP a pleasure and my winnings/time more enjoyable.

See you on Wednesday.

I heard it didn't count because there was not enough in the pot. Need at least $20 to start the hand or something like that.

How many 2+2'ers in the Bracket Challenge tomorrow? I'll be coming right from work, and plan on staying till the very end- took Thursday and Friday off.

I just called over to the room. They still have over 100 seats still available ( I guess that means 220 sold), but they said they expect it to sell out by tomorrow afternoon.
Yesterday, they still had 190.

Actually, for a bad beat hand to qualify, there only needs to be $20 in the pot, since that's when they take the 1.00 drop . She went all in for 6.00, pocket aces raised to what I heard was $40.00. everyone else folded. 16 to $19 in the pot. No bad beat drop, no bad beat pot. If he would have flated and someone would have come along, it would have qualified. But, I wouldn't flat AA there either. I wouldn't make it 40.00, but never a flat.

But, starting the hand with 6.00 is fine, as long as the pot gets built to 20.00

Hoping to get a seat in the bracket challenge. Can't get up there 'til 4pm or so. Sounds like it may be a close call.

I just heard that Harrah's Chester has moved to a nine handed game with a third man walking rule. BTW, I don't hate nine handed games, in fact, I play them and enjoy them. Unless they start to play five handed. What do you guys think of nine handed tables? You get two cup holders in the 5 seat. I wonder if Anthony is considering a nine handed game at Delaware Park.

I think you'll be OK. I called over this morning and was told 180 were already pre sold (which is 40 less than the woman told me last night). The tournament is capped at 320 and will probably sell out after 4 PM if I had to guess at it.

I like the 9 handed game, but it is stupid move on Harrahs part. I play there on the Thursday night tourney and they never have enough dealers. Last Thursday they only had 4 dealers for the tourney. They have so many players waiting on a table I can't beleive they'd do this.

California rooms play nine handed. So does Full Tilt. It's about a little more room, but also a little more action for the room. twenty three table tables ten handed are twenty six tables nine handed. Less handed, equal more tables, equal more revenue. Again, I think a nine handed game is fine and I would not have an issue with DP making a similar move, but the 3rd man walking 5 min rule is very hard to enforce. You have to let a player use the facilities. The biggest problem I have with a nine handed game is how that rule is enforced. I'm not sure Harrah's has the staff for it since it's a lot more work for the floors. Bagging someone chips tends to piss them off and some pissed off customers won't return. If you don't bag them, it gets under the skin of the players who are playing short, so playing nine handed can be a recipe for disaster. If the room is full spread and with long lists, there's a completely different problem because many players wouldn't be waiting ten handed that are waiting nine handed. I really can see why it's a difficult decision. Like you said, if a room is dealer short, then it really makes no sense to spread nine handed games

I'll write some stuff later about the bracket challenge. It was a lot of fun, finishing third in the first round and was not lucky enough to get a wild card into to further rounds. Had a decent session at 1/2 NL, and 48 08 and made a few bucks in the cash games so it was a freeeroll It was a bingo game, no question, but the structure I think, was designed to be enjoyable and for me, it attained that expectation. It made for a very busy room all afternoon and late into the night. If the structure would have been different, it would be still going at noon today. Sold out about 5PM. More than half the players went home before the 5 AM drawing for the final table for the deep stack Venetian Package and more than a couple of wild card's did make the money. They were finally able to table six players after calling about 12 names for the last table, none of which were me.

I enjoyed the event, and for what a mess it was going to be I thought they handled it well. I may be biased as I made final table of the bracket challenge so my wait wasn't as brutal for the Venetian Draw - which the friend I went with won.

I'm thinking of heading down from CT for a weekend since I'm on Spring Break. Not being 21 sucks. I've played a bit at a room in Wilmington. Its above the Buffalo Wild Wings. Anyways, on to the questions.

What kind of turnouts/prizepools are there for the daily tournaments?

Am I hearing right that all the cash games are 10 handed? What about tournaments?

Is there usually a 1/2NL game running 24 hours a day?

Thanks a lot!
