Excited to see four Wednesday PLO tourneys scheduled for March! $3K guarantee is sweet.

On a separate note; it has been a while since the 10-20 LO8. I will get a list started Wednesday.

I'm very happy about the PLO tourneys as well.

If the 5/5 PLO guy dies early on Wednesday for some reason (kind of doubt it though), then I'll be happy to try out LO8. Never actually played it before.

I'd be glad to meet you. The 10-20 LO8 runs strong for a few weeks, dies, then has to get revived. It place much smaller than 5-5 PLO. You get a different group that plays 10-20.

I know it runs smaller than the 5/5 PLO game - that game is nuts. Two weeks ago we were playing 6-handed late into the night and there was probably about $50K on the table. I just would love to branch out from NLHE and PLO, regardless of stakes. Wouldn't mind getting some stud experience as well.

I'll second this. Would love to see the return of a monthly $100-$150 HORSE and would try to play it every month.

I'll drive from Virginia for this...

If we get three or four 2+2ers agreeing on a date and a time, we probably get a full table of 10-20 LO8.

Thursday afternoon/evening works because it is good day for a couple Harrah dealers that like to play. Second best option is Saturday afternoon/evening. Either works good for me. No PLO tourney this week, so Wednesday could work.

Wednesday, Thursday or Saturday? Any work for you?

I'm in for O8 on Thursdays. Start at 11am?

Question about weekday noon $45 or $65 NLH tournaments. Anyone know roughly the average number of participants and how long these run? Let's be optimistic and assume I make the final table, what time am I rolling out of there for these weekday tournaments?

Does anyone know how long the Wed PLO tourney usually goes for? I'm considering taking the ride for this but need to work in the morning...

Over 100 runners?

I don't know how often it usually goes for, but I'm sure if you called they would have the answer. I think last week was more like 40-60 players?

Great, thanks DMoogle. I'll give them a ring on my way down if that's an average turnout.

DP should serious consider moving the PLO tourney to Saturday or Sunday 3pm. On Wednesday at 7pm it is getting better turnout than the NHLE, but there are lots that don't play it because they are to work the next morning. Last week I got knocked out in 8th place at 12:30am.

There are a few neverb0rns out there that will play this if the day and time worked better. I do not think the Sunday 3pm NHLE tourney has a big turnout anyway.

I second this. The most recent 3 PM NLHE tourney that I played in at DP had 2 tables only. We were running with only 1 table for the first hour or so.

There was some frustration when we chopped 1st Place 3-ways because we calculated that DP took something like 33% of the prize pool for the rake.

There hasn't been a post on Delaware Park for 6 weeks. I just went to DP's web site to check on the June tournament schedule and it hasn't been posted. I know competition from the casinos in neighboring states has hurt the DP poker room but they have to do better than this.

Usually it is a question of when the state lottery approves the proposed schedule and any new proposed games. With the long weekend, approval might have been further delayed. But I agree, there ought to be a faster way. Baltimore Horseshoe is also late in displaying its June tournaments.

You can't go wrong with keeping your hole cards face down until showdown.

They have been very consistent on the application of that rule over the years. Probably the only casino on the East Coast that gives out a penalty rather than a warning on 1st offense, but then again it probably trains regulars pretty well not to do it :-)

I really think instead of a Mississippi straddle, rooms should have an opposite priority in who has precedence; UTG should have highest precedence! Why not give people who will be OOP for the rest of the hand the opportunity to put more money in the pot?!? We could call it the Mid Atlantic Straddle.

Still think a weekend PLO tourney would give the room a much needed bump.

Why?

There really aren't that many PLO players in the area that will actually play a tourney. History has shown that time and time again.

Everyone is warned at the start of every tournament.
It is explicitly mentioned as part of the tournament opening announcement.

But also, is literally impossible for it to cost him 50bb.
Even heads up it would only be 10bb maX...

The September web-site tournament schedule had the Mid Atlantic Poker Championship starting on October 7th. Is the schedule for these events available?
