Monday seems to be the slowest day.

5 to 7 tables is the norm M-Th.

place is packed on F,Sat and Sun

usually 1 to 2 tables of $2/$5 M-Th

usually 3 tables of $2/$5 on Fri and sat

I've gotten there when it opens a few times. Usually it starts off with a table or two of 1/2, then the 2/5 table starts up around 12-1pm.

They really haven't advertised much for it...I'm just glad we have a nice place to play here.

One thing that annoys me a little bit about this place is that the cell phone rules aren't enforced at all. People are chatting on their phones sometimes during a hand. Texting and browsing are going on all the time. I hate to be the one that calls for an end to it at the table because it seems to create a super casual atmosphere, but come on.

i have seen dealers enforce no cell phones while a player is in a hand

Just wondering if anybody has seen any Omaha 8 action at all? If so what structures

Omaha 8 has only run a few times afaik. There was a 5/10 and occasionally there will be a round of PLO8 when the PLO runs.

Thank you just wondering, heading down there tonight for the tournament and was hoping to get in an O8 game, I guess I'll just keep my fingers crossed.

I have yet to play there. I go to Biloxi several times a year and play at the Beau and the Hard Rock. I haven't played much around here because JCKC sucked and the buy-in amounts wasn't worth the trip out there.

On average, what is the average stack sizes and buy-ins for 1/2 and 2/5? Do they tend to be the same players or is it a pretty diverse player field?

Thanks for the answers.

1/2 The buys are anywhere from 40 to 200. Seems to be a pretty diverse field. I've seen some familiar faces the times I've gone but see new people every time. This isn't anything like JCKC in my opinion, much better.

When the barrel racing kicks back up it will add a little more traffic to the poker room.

average buy in for $2/$5 is $300 to $500 but it is uncapped. M-Th $2/$5 can be the same players but it gets more diversified on Fri and sat. usually 3 $2/$5 tables on weekends

Thanks for the responses. It sounds like you wouldn't need to bring more than $1500 total to play 2/5.

Is the parking lot lit and secure? That is another issue I had with JCKC. I never had a problem there but it always felt sketchy walking to your car at night.

I went Saturday, March 24th for the first time. The place is pretty nice! So much better than JCKC and better than Jai alai in Hamilton. I was seated quickly and received my chips in less than a minute. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The waitresses/waiters were quick with orders. Overall the experience was great and I will be returning

I got there about 2 in the afternoon and was hoping there would be more cash tables running. When I arrived there was only 6 tables of 1/2 and one for the 2/5. I stayed to about 8 that night and figured there would be a lot more people, but there was never more than 9-10 tables playing.

The competition was pretty soft. A lot of calling stations that think a pair is the nuts and heavy drinkers who forget they are playing cards. Most players there were older and recreational.

I liked their full house and high hand promotions they had.

I'd recommend anyone in the area to give the place a try.

Just heard an advertisement for this place on the radio (TNT the Tallahassee country station). I am glad to find this thread. I hope to make it down to check it out in person later this month. Thanks to all who posted.

Since this hasn't been posted in, in quite some time I am hesitant to resurrect it. Just wanted to add that I have been there roughly once a month since it opened. I really really like the place, the fact that they give out tourney tickets (regular and satellite) for high hands and such is nice. Had quad 8s on Saturday, got a ticket to the $50 tourney Sunday night, came back and chopped once it got down to 3 way (money was 5th place, but chipleader at time didn't want to chop and wound up busting in 4th).

All in all I look forward to this place growing b/c it is west of town (i.e. don't have to drive through town to get to it), and bridges nicely between Tally and Ebro.

I was disappointed to find out that the $50 tourney isn't on tonight, was pumped to go play that. They do have a $100 bi bounty tourney though so I may do that, or just play cash.

I also echo the sentiment that JCKC was terribad. I had not heard last time I visited Tally, so stupidly I drove all the way out there (about a 30 min drive) only to discover that poker was gone. Oh well, nothing lost, that place was a complete **** hole.

today they start a reward program. they are basically paying you $2 an hour to play. was told it was a promo for July and they wanted to see how it goes.

they have made a lot of changes to the promos, less tourney tickets given out, high hands on Friday, Sat and Sun, raffle drawing on Sat from 2 to 11 with $500 guaranteed at 6:30 and 11. they are definitely listening to their customers.

Thats pretty sick comps for the room, I doubt it will stay long though.

Glad they stopped giving our tourney tickets, they just got flipped anyways.

Did notice when I was there last weekend that there weren't many, if any tourney tickets given out. Of course I went on Friday night instead of Saturday as I had been in the past.

I do like the place more and more with each trip. Adding the rewards program will help, but part of the problem is they don't have on-table loggers. You have to give your player number at the desk. Which leads to another problem I have, how do they know when you leave?

All in all I think it is going to hold up well. If they can get a secondary draw in (slots, racing, whatever) then poker will be solid for a while.

Thinking about driving down there this weekend. I assume they will be having that 10K guaranteed tourney? As of last night their events calendar on the website only went to July 31st.
