Commerce will have the most 20-40 and 40-80 limit hold em games. Bike has a great 20-40 with half kill Holdem that's a lot of fun and IMO it's much more pleasant place to play with friendlier players as well. Can't speak to nl or PLO. Bike isn't on bravo but they're on pokeratlas, just google bike pokeratlas and you're good.

Bike is unlikely to have 5/10 nlhe or plo. Bike's 5/5 game is 1k cap if you would prefer to play there though.

I would recommend Commerce for game variety, even though i also don't like the atmosphere there.

So I have a bunch of player points just sitting around and I am looking to cash them out for as much value as I can.

What do you think the best strategy is. I was thinking of buying cigarettes and selling them for a little less than retail cost. Anyone that Is familiar with the very limited commerce gift shop have any better ideas?

That's probably your best bet. Although the prices are marked up a little bit more than retail. So you'll have to take a haircut on that as well.

I tend to load up on Red Bulls when I leave, but I don't drink them that often enough to drain that balance.

I was planning on coming out for the LAPC and wanted to stay ~jan 13 - fen 24th or so. The best rate I was quoted was $134/night.

Does anyone have any promo code to use, or know of a cheaper rate?

Im open to staying somewhere else also, does anyone have any ideas that are a little less expensive but still relatively close to the casino?

I'm also curious about this,

We used to stay at the Super8 that used to be just SE of Commerce Casino on Telegraph Road. It seems to have changed to another hotel - Travelodge.

Location is 7810 Telegraph Rd, Commerce, CA 90040.

Looks like there are two other motels across the corner.

Studio6 - 7701 E Slauson Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90040
Ramada - 7272 E Gage Ave, Commerce, CA 90040

That intersection has a coffee place and a couple of diners. It's a short cab ride to the casino.

For those of you staying at the hotel between now and the 28th... saw flyers offering $80 night weekdays and $100/night weekends at the elite booth for these dates. All you have to do is mention the code "holiday16" when booking. I didn't notice until I was already checked out, but thought I would post here to give you guys a chance.

Can somebody decipher the Bravo listings for games at the Commerce? Idk what 100-0 NL Holdem, 500-1500 X NL Holdem, 300-500, and 200-0 are. I'm assuming those are the buy ins but idk what the blinds are.

No limit games in LA are categorized only by buy-in, not blinds. The games that have two numbers allow a range in buy-ins. The games that have one of the numbers as 0 are a fluke of the system; only one exact buy-in is actually allowed, represented by the other number.

I don't know the blinds for these games, but they are likely larger than what you would expect for games of the same buy-in size in other parts of the country.

search the thread, old man yells at cloud, etc, but I think 100 is 2/3? 200 is 2/5, 300-500 5/5, 500-1500 5/T.

Anybody know how's the action on that 500-1500 pot omaha game? And also are the blinds for that game 5-5 or 5-10?

5/5 blinds with a $10 rock/straddle is what he meant, I believe

Yes, it's a 5/5/rock game
No third blind
Usually action packed.

The Brad Hanson says it's super tough unbeatable game and bet/Folding doesn't work in it but pay him 10$/month and he'll tell you new secrets to ruining poker games

Played Commerce for the first time this weekend. Went to play the 300k in the LAPC. Went deep but got two outered on a shove hand and went to play cash. I was surprised they don't have a podium and have some TV on the floor near these steps. Total chaos as everyone just congregates around the person taking sign ups and prevents the person from him or her from seeing the floor. It also backs up traffic wise when busy.

I also couldn't believe the total lack of etiquette or adherence to rules. Players routinely talk about the hand being played when it was multi-way, played out of turn, abused dealers and each other etc. My favorite was a guy who turned a rack into 4 racks at a must move table then when he had to move to the main game went and cashed in his profit before coming to the table.

I do have to say the food and beverage service is awesome. Porters clean up immediately and will get you coffee too. I also love a room that has more then enough drink tables which many don't.

BTW NEVER STAY at the Motel 6 suites on Slauson. Total dump and overpriced. The property looks like Beirut. TV didn't work since the remote was on the fritz. I also think its home to a lot of low income types. Some girl ran in front of me while I was checking out to get a can opener for some cold Chili.

This isn't unique to the Motel 6 on Slauson. Motel 6 is pretty close to the bottom of the barrel wherever you go.
