Chumash is WORLDS AWAY... I miss it, but Vegas is Betta!

One thing I miss from Chumash is the Free food, props to the Chumash tribe for taking care of it's players!

FYI Chumash... 1/3 = 100-300... 2/5 = 300-1000

problem solved

$180 75k guaranteed this Saturday 10/27. 400+ players needed to meet the 75k. There can't be more than 50 decent players within an hour drive of this place. I only normally play cash, but I'm not missing this.

I am here from vegas... best desription, same as it ever was. Fun but nothing to write home about. Better than anything you probably have near where you are. You could drive a little further south to ventura for more action.

Yea they had two tables & a lot of regs. Only two fish out of ~16 players
The 1/2 is a max 100 buyin and they use $1 chips ..??? Seemed like a joke

^ this... you have to come in at 2/5 and more than likely play 5/10+

Seems like 2-5 is always a must move game here even if they get 3 tables going. I tend to arrive earlier when the game starts up so I'm always in the main game all night. Usually I don't mind, but if I get a losing image and can't get my stack much above the max buy, then I really want to move tables.

Anyone think the floor would care if I cashed my chips, took a very short break, then jumped into 2-5 again? I would expect not and people probably do this already and I'm just not paying attention. Obviously this would be fine if I took a long break, but I'm talking about a move obvious table move.

stopped off here as i was ata outing in the area with family this weekend and doesnt seem to be much of a update about this place(last post in march) so ill write a lil bout my experience. arrived late afternoon/ early evening and they had 2 2-5 games goin and a list for 5-10 which despite having double digit names on the list never got off(joke) LOL. played primarily 2-5 but a lil 1-2(3 of these were going at the time) while i waited for a 2-5 seat. the rake in this room is a joke and players are getting bent over especially if you play 1-2. they take a promo dollar from the sb right away. ok $1 for the promo but whats the promo? no BBJ just monte carlo high hands where they pay out if hit, a royal didnt even pay 5 hundo. supposeably they also occasionally splash pots for a measley 20 bucks which i didnt even see in my few hrs of play, saw a club in portland which takes no rake and is obv making alot less than this place(not allowed to) splash pots for a fitty spot before. wonder how much of those "promo" dollars theyre pocketing. as far as the rake they rake 4 bucks basically right away when a hand goes to the flop, i noticed this when i scooped a pot for $24 in the 1-2 game.

as far as the play goes. well the quality of play at 1-2 was 1-2 like it is everywhere else except for their lame max buyin of $100 which is even more terrible because of the way they rake. $2-5 was better(obv cuz of money allowed initially on table, game is raked the same tho and for $1 more than 1-2) as they allowed a $700 max buyin but also a $100 min which should be atleast $200 like it is most places. there seemed to be alotta regulars in the $1-2 and $2-5 games who knew each other which was not surprising as small as the room is and the remote location its in but both games were still very juicy(id advise playing the 1-2 if you have a decent roll cuz of buyin structure and the way they rake) and the play was very soft at both.

floor staff and dealers were polite and curteous and waitresses seemed to be coming around frequently enough but i cant comment on the food as i didnt try any. all in all id say its a decent little poker room(14 tables i believe) and is worth playing at despite the crappy rake structure if you can play 2-5 +

You've obviously never played in Cali before as that rake structure and buy in structure is standard for Cali. Recently went to Chumash and they had two 1-2 games (100 max), one 2-5 game (700 max), and one 5-10 game (1500 max).

Hi guys, I felt like posting in here since nobody had in almost a year. Here's a list of our current games and rake structures being spread:

$1/$2 NL $40-$100 max ($4+$1 jackpot)
$2/$3 NL $100-$300 max ($4+$1 jackpot)
$3-$5 NL $300-$1000 max ($4+$1 jackpot)
$5-$10 NL $500 - $1500 (players can match largest stack at the table) ($5+$1)
$10-$20 NL $1000 min - no cap ($9/30 min + $1 jackpot/hand)
$3-$6 Big O ($3+$1)
$4-$8 LHE ($3+$1)

Players using a Club Indulge (Chumash) card via Bravo earn money back which can be spent on F&B. The bad beat jackpot is up to almost $30,000!

Also the tournaments, specifically Friday night at 7PM, Saturday and Sunday at 1PM are good, with players typically taking over $2,000 for 1st on buy-ins between $100-$150 depending on the day of the week!

Anyone around to pitch some updates in this thread? I just went for the first time the other day. Super soft tables, friendly dealers, comfortable room in general.

I'm new to the area so if anyone who lives in the area wants to meet up or just talk shoot me a DM. Cheers.

I see this place is on Bravo still. No game higher than 2/3 going currently on Sunday. Any chance a bigger game will go on 4th of July weekend?
