There's a 50-100 triple draw table going at the moment! I've never seen one of those on Bravo. Meanwhile Commerce has 122 tables up and the only one I'd consider playing is the 10/20 O/8...

What's the action like at this place? Just moved to Dallas and this is the closest B&M location.

I am not regular at Choctaw, in fact, I have only played cash a handful of times there, but I do follow along on Bravo. However, the traffic on this subforum can be few and far between, so I will reply in order to get you some quick, albeit imperfect information.

Anyway, cash game traffic is pretty meh. Weeknights will have 1 to 3 1/2NL games running. Weekends will see 4 to 8 1/2NL games and 1 to 2 2/5NL games running. That being said, during times of the bigger tourney series Choctaw runs, the action is as voluminous as you will find at any other location around the country. However, the quality of play slightly ticks up with during the larger tourney series, but I think that increase in quality of play is negligible to a decent player.

You may want to check out Winstar if the action at Choactaw is unsatisfactory for your taste.

Winstar is where the action is. Room is fairly basic. Choctaw has nicer more comfortable room but rarely fills up except as stated above. Weekends at Winstar are packed with maybe 40 tables going. Huge variety of games too.

When will circuit schedule be released? Shortly after poker night in America series is over I'm assuming?

I think Jimmy Sommerfeld plans in releasing it then.

Probably headed that way for WSOP in Janurary. Looks like outside hotels will be cheaper then staying there. Whats a good one 5-10 miles from casino? Thanks.

Many players and dealers stay in Durant which is about 4-5 miles away. There are many hotels there and most give a discount when you tell them you are coming in for the WSOPC and Choctaw runs free shuttles to and from the casino to the hotels 24/7.

Also lots of choices 15 minutes south in Denison.

Should be very soon waiting on a new poker room manager to be named slowed things down some. Hopefully within a week.

I just saw this news today (not sure if there is another thread on this). Eric was a regular player at all the circuit events at Choctaw, and has a banner on the wall. I playd with him a number of times (he is the villain in my favorite bad beat story)

Was at Choctaw last weekend and noted that their craps tables now have actual dice. And roulette wheel has a ball. Must have received their elevated license.
