final amount was 77,500
Default start amount is 7500
20k added every Tuesday and Wednesday morning at 2 a.m.
all the other days they add $5k at 2 a.m.
It doesn't take long to get up that high as long as it doesn't hit for a week.

sounds like they are adding more than in the past...Is that because the fund is bloated at this point?..I'm not a big worrier about the promotions but if it brings lots of folks in the better.

I confirmed w/ a floor and a board person that, despite still having the 5 day usage language on them, the food comps no longer have an expiration date.

Yah, srs luck! I won $300 on the Cardinals game football pool on the last play when the Cardinals guy avoided 2-3 tackles and didn't fall down when he stumbled and made it into the end zone!

Hey Ubin, did you ask management about possibly getting a 2+2 rep?

A guy in my 40 game did as well, along with his sister/gf (I'm not sure which it is, not that it is both) who had the exact same ticket as well. When the game was tied, he made her go get into a game, as she had just been waiting for him.

Before they scored, we were debating what the ticket was worth, and I settled on $50 (game ticket, not 3rd Quarter ticket) before kickoff in OT. He looked up history and it said OT had been won by a TD about 25% of the time, so that was pretty damn good number I put on it (12.5% * 300 + 12.5% * 150 = $56.25)

Hello all:

Just hoping for some clarification; I'm coming out for the Fiesta Bowl, and was thinking of coming a day early to check out the action. I'm a NL player, though, and am confused as to what games are spread. I understand it is mostly limit and some spread limit.

Can someone explain to me how the spread limit works, and what levels of spread limit are typically running? I mostly play $5/5 NL.

Also, is 7 stud hi-lo spread? That's a game I've been wanting to learn, and if the spread limit game has no action, maybe it would still be worth it to get a chance to play a new game.

Thanks,
Will

LOL, I just got tilted because I thought I posted my response to Howard above in the B&M thread, and didn't find it in there and started cursing Rapini.

If you play 5/5 NL, the 3/5 NL will be practically the same. It has a max buy-in of $1000 and a max bet of $500. But that max bet means if Player A bets $500, you can raise it to $1000 total. My guess is the bet limit very very very rarely affects the bet sizing in a hand.

That game goes regularly during most hours. Not sure about the overnight hours.

There is a rarely spread 6/12 Stud 8/b game that a group of regulars usually starts around 10am on the weekends, either Sat or Sun, can't remember.

Other than that, we can spread Stud 8/b in a 40 mix if you are interested.

Yeah it essentially plays the same but you must be mindful of the 500 cap and giving off tells when you say all in and the dealer says 500.

How are the tourneys here? And what is the rake structure for the regular games?

Adding to the above message, how are the games throughout the week/weekend in regards to regs/fish?

I played some 3/6 last night, and the rake is $1 for the deal and $2 more if it gets to the flop. IIRC the spread games are the same, going to head back up this weekend and check them out.

I'm not a CAZ reg, but I'm posting here because 1) I'll be there in about 24 hours and, 2) this thread needed bumped.

I'm looking forward to visiting with my old friends and making new ones. If I've not met you, please have HB, DC or pope facilitate an introduction. If you play the LHE good, lemme know that, too, since I'm at an inherent disadvantage as to seat/table selection.

Also, if I behave, can I become an honorary CAZ reg?

By now you know enough about CAZ and have been here often enough to be considered more than an honorary reg, imo.

Been visiting CAZ again myself recently, as it's the only place I can reliably get Omaha, let alone the 8/16, which I've managed to walk right into (one seat, no board) on my last two visits.

Seriously, can someone tell me WTF they were thinking when they split the kitchens and you can't get the good Asian dishes downstairs in the pretending-to-be-fancy Blue Coyote grill? Bring back the tent version, bastards.

Never had it myself, but I believe they offer $59 or so. I'm sure someone else will pipe up.

It's 59. Usually just reserve your rate for whatever and then talk to the floor once you get here. Make sure to scan your card, think you need to play for like 6 hours.

I hope this is not an inappropriate question, and I apologize if it is, but I was wondering if anyone who reads this thread works in the poker room at Casino Az and knows if they likely might be hiring any time in the next few months? Is the room busy enough to possibly need more dealers any time soon? Even part-time, extra board, or on-call? Or are they over-staffed as-is?

I dealt in Arizona for about 7 years (at the Mazatzal Casino in Payson; Cliff Castle in Camp Verde; and brielfy at Harrah's Ak-Chin back in 1998), but I moved to Florida in 2007 and I have been dealing out here since then; now I am possibly moving back to Arizona some time soon and I just wanted to ask around about the poker rooms in the area. If anyone who deals there (or is familiar with the poker room these days) would be willing to offer me some sort of advice or information, I would greatly appreciate it!

Thanks.

By the way, being that I have not been back to Arizona since moving to Florida in December of 2007, I was wondering if they still had the $150 max-bet limit for Poker? I seem to recall hearing a while back that they increased the limit on Poker betting, so that poker rooms are now allowed to Spread-Limit games that are more like actual No-Limit games; also leading me to believe that there is now the possibility of larger Limit games (when I left, $75-$150 was the highest game allowed). If someone would let me know about this, I'd appreciate it, as well.

Btw, sorry for posting this in 2 threads; I was just hoping to give myself a better chance of getting a response. I apologize if this causes any sort of an inconvenience.
