20-40+ is still $7/down; no BBJ drop or anything. 40-80+ does time pots. Still just 7.

40/80+ mixed game (or LHE) depending on who is there
Are the 8-16 / 20-40 LHE and 8-16 O8 games consistently available on a nightly basis? If so, are they reasonably soft?

If the answers are "yes/yes", heck, I might substitute a "Phoenix trip" in lieu of a Vegas trip at some point in the near future....

Yes and yes (of course depending on your skill level).

All three games are going pretty much from noonish until they break late in the evening. Some randomly go overnight, but that is an exception and not a rule. There are very often more than 1 of each of these three games/levels spread.

8-16's been going very late recently with the large jackpots. On Monday night/Tuesday morning, I played until it broke at 4:30am, Tuesday night I played until the same time and it was still going strong when I left, then on Saturday I showed up at 8am and there was still a full game from the night before.

Are there any 8-16 regs here who I probably know?

still don't know who anyone in these forums is IRL.....can i get a simple explanation of the comps and points accruing.

I know that for every 8 hrs played I can get a food comp for $5 correct?..Do I have to take it or can I get them later?..Is it one per trip if I wait?
As far as the points go..is it 20 cents per hour?...how are these payed out and is there a statue of limitatons on when I can get it off?...these are different than the food comps correct?

thanks for the help..very confused and returning home shortly and beginning my nightly trek back to CAZ

The food comp is supposed to print out automatically when you either continue play or check out after 8 hours but the system is often dysfunctional. I know that I've not received a comp when supposed to and then will sometimes get 2 or three at once. You will know when a comp is printed bec the screen will say something after you've checked out. There are hordes of ppl who don't know that and the board is now so swamped w/ ppl checking to see if they have a comp available that there's a box to drop your player card into and they will look it up for you when they've got the time. How's that for a multi-million dollar state of the art system? The 20 cents/hr is on top of that but any accumulated amount falls off if unused w/i a year so cash it out every now and then esp if you play casino games. You get cash by asking for a voucher at the player reward desk.

1 food ticket/order, doesn't matter how many orders/day.

I don't even know what that means, tbh, but instinct tells me that I'd better say no.

So like I get a voucher for 22.60 and take it to the window?...Interesting system....Why is a system such as Vegas or like they have at foxwoods so hard to implement. You swipe in at the tables when you sit and are removed when you leave...I know it takes a bit of investment but they must spend a tremendous amount of time with this stuff. Even if it stayed the same and somehow "tada" your card could be cashed out etc., it would be an improvement. I hate to point out all the shortcomings because it is nice to have something after all the years we have waited.

I was told by a senior manager that they didn't go w/ the table swipe system bec they were confident that they could seat all comers w/i a half hour and didn't mind paying the points that accumulate from sign-in until the player got seated.

If the average time to seat a player actually is a half-hour or less then it makes sense to do what they do bec they're dealing many more hands by not involving the dealer in card swiping/button pushing (those 'but it's only a few seconds!' add up over the course of a year in a busy room), esp if the dealer has to push the button every time a player gets up to take a break.

ok...makes sense on a few levels..i didn't realize they started your time from the moment you swiped...i guess I just figured that they activated it when they called you. Have you heard of any abuses of the system (ie..players swiping when they aren't playing etc?) I mean I know that no one is going to run back and forth every few hours for 60 cents but it's not quite exact in the least is it?

I think the system kicks you off if you get called and don't take a seat. If there's anybody trying to get an extra 82.5 cents/hr (that's what it adds up to w/ the food comp) every now and then I'd say I was surprised except nothing surprises me anymore.

The jackpot hit last night around 10:30. There were a couple lines about 10 players deep at the cage shortly thereafter.
