I believe Buckeye is going to start spreading either a 2/4 or 3/6 Limit game. This would be a promoted game. Prob run 1-2 days for week until it gets legs. $4max rake. See floor to reserve a seat in the game.

.25/.50 PLO with $200Max buyin is now getting 2-3 tables each day. Awesome PLO game.

Customer service at Buckeye is best in town, and just by playing, you help support Local Cleveland charities.

Free Dinner every night around 6PM.

Wow, glad I stumbled on this thread. Had no idea that this room even existed.

I'm pretty sick of the Shoe and I'm glad to see an alternative to the Shoe that doesn't require me to drive out of state.

I've been wanting to play in a tourney and taking off work to play in the ones at the Horseshoe just isn't realistic for me. Will have to check out the $50 deep stack here really soon.

What is the blind structure for your typical 7pm tournament?

Blind Structure

Structure is consistent in all the tournaments. they just vary the starting stacks and minutes in each level. (except a little deeper on Thursday 7PM $100, and Monthly $300).

Schedule with starting chips and minutes of each level...
New April Tourny Schedule

Starting to add some noon tournaments throughout the week.

also..

The scheduled, Uncapped Sat 1PM 1/2 PLO is running as usual today. Almost 20K on the table. Average pot is $300. Lots of local PLO players and great action. 30+ hands per hour.

They are going to start running this Wed as well.

See floor to lock up your seat.

How has the action been since the Horseshoe added that money to the bbj?

Tonight was the first night I've been there in a while, and they had 2 PLO games going and 1 1-2 NLHE going. The 1-2 was really juicy, which is surprising because normally 1-2 is filled with tight players

What is the traffic for BCP like on the weekdays? What games tend to run the latest, and what time do they typically start/break?

Does anyone know the full purpose of the point system at Buckeye? I see they have a Freeroll in June for those who qualify, but do your weekly points go towards anything else? Freeroll or otherwise?
Their website, and staff are clear on how you OBTAIN points, and how much. Just not what the hell they are for.

Thank you Bishop. Staff there should let newer members know this, or announce it on their web site. First I have heard of this, and I am sure I have qualified in the past.

Surprised this place isn't busier. Easy to use system and good location.
Course I was there last night and the series did start in LV last week so maybe many of the players are out there.

I played saturday for the first time. I showed up for the 1/2 plo but it was done by the time i got there (around 7). .25/.50 plo was the only game going. I thought it was going to suck but the game plays like a 1/2 i think. Smaller stacks is no fun but its ok.

I would play again. I like real cards and chips but this isnt that bad.

I appreciate the room's involvement in this thread and give kudos to staff for being friendly. One suggestion: always have people on site who are able to entertain requests for rake reduction when the game is headsup or very short-handed. Twice I've been told the staff would love to accommodate but don't know how. It's in both the players' and room's best interests since I've twice seen rake considerations break a short game.

I'm going to go check out this room for the first time at about 4:30 this afternoon. Will anyone be around at that time for a referral?

Got there right after work at 5 thinking it would be busy and overestimated that a bit. There was 1 table running. The staff was super friendly and showed me the software and how to get on the waiting list. They started up a shorthanded table and played themselves a bit to get it going which was really cool. The tables are fun to play and work really well. The players were friendly. They had free pizza. Table busted a couple hours later when the nightly tournament started and I didn't want to wait around for more players to restart a table so I left but I'll go back for sure, and often.

I've gone to the room 3 times now and all they really need is players. The first time things were slow with only one NLHE table running. The second time was the only time I got really irritated. I went there because their social media posts said the room had lots of players and the Omaha and NLHE tables were rockin and I got there to find an empty room with 6 guys playing 50 cent Omaha which is the only game that seems to run constantly. It's a bit of a drive for me to get there and I went based on the posts so that's why I was a bit salty. The third time I went later at night hoping to catch a table of people busting out of the tournament and a 1/2 table did get going after waiting for a while. It played either full or a little short and was going with 7 people when I left around midnight.

At the same time the Shoe had 8 tables of 1/2 running and a disgusting wait list of 141 people.

I can't figure that out. I've played both. This charity room is the better place to play 1/2. The rake is a lot smaller. No tipping. Automated tables. Free DELICIOUS food, full lunch and dinners. Free snacks. Free soda. Cheap beer. Friendly staff. You yell HEY JOE and the floor is there within seconds. Cheap tournaments.

I have no idea what more the owners can do to make it more appealing. The cashier is a little LOL but that's moot if you keep a small roll on your players card there is no reason to go to the cage on an average night. There is apparently some kind of promotion for tournament discounts for hours played but I have no idea how that works or if you have to opt in or what. I overheard people talking about it. All the place needs is players.

I wish them well and will continue to promote the room to my friends and will continue to show up myself.

I haven't been there since I lost my card. I'm not paying for a new card to play in their raked games. Maybe that is stupid but how is that inviting anyone into the building.

How about you don't lose your card? Plus, they are only a buck. If you care about a dollar you probably should not be playing anyway.

In all honesty i would usually say whatever. But losing one of only 10-20 players is a big deal to this place.

And as mentioned above. The room is a bit misleading. Their status updates say that games are full and lots of players and i show up and its a 6 handed 50 cent game. I have even called about the 1/2 plo and they tell me that people are asking about it and we have a solid list but i get there and no list and its dead!

That makes me mad...
