It seems like it makes the most sense

Not sure if I have a preference though, just want to know the rules in case I end up playing in it sometime

This info less tips should be on borgata's website anytime now including names of winners.

Don't think this question has been asked before: does a map exist of the Borgata poker room by Table #? Would be useful for all those times "new 2/5 table opening up on Table x" and I never have any idea where it is. Even some general guidelines would be useful i.e. the 10s and 20s are in the front, the 30s and 40s back-right, etc

Then at 8PM on a $1-$2 No Limit Hold'em table, the Bad Beat Jackpot hit for $586,711 - a new Borgata record!

Chong In Yang was holding 7D 8D, while Myung Sang Kim held QD KD. The board showed 9D 10D JD. Yang lost hand but took home $234,685. Kim won the hand plus an additional $117,342. The six remaining players at the table each took home $39,114.

Agreed 100% on this. I still barely know where all the tables are located. Luckily for a new game, the floor people usually wave their hand. You can also ask a floor as well. Sometimes, I am stubborn and search for a good 2-3 minutes for a table in the 25-50 range(it's less now).

Too funny. I always think to myself when one of the less friendly floors sends me to a table by number. there are over 80 tables! No one but the staff and a few others have knowledge of where these tables lie! Last week a floor told me to go to table something (already forgot number). I said "where is that" and he said "around the corner". 5 minutes later I ask again and was walked to a table much closer than I went. It's not hard to just hang numbers above the tables. I like it when casinos do that.

1. Does the Ace play as high in badugi? In other words is the nut badugi a234 or 2345?
2. Do you have to have a 4 card badugi to qualify? (This rule is not that common I think..but I've heard of it before.)

Thanks
1. Ace plays high, both in making the low hand and for breaking ties in Badugi. Nut Badugi is 5-4-3-2.
2. A 3 card hand can win the Badugi portion of the pot as long as no one has a (4 card) Badugi. Same, a 2 card hand can win, as long as no one has a 3 card or 4 card Badugi hand, and so on...

I realize its not that big a deal, and floor people are available to point me in the right direction at a minimum. But honestly I go there enough that I feel like I ought to know where the tables are. Its like as if I lived in a town for 5 years, didn't bother to learn any street names and then I'm still asking everyone for directions

If no one steps up and delivers a map to this thread then I'll just do it myself for everyone's benefit, although it'll be a couple weeks before I head down again.

I can't make a map for you but this ought to help:

Facing the Poker Room from the entrance and directly in front of the poker cashier

Tables 1 through 12are typically 1/2nl and rarely 2/4 or 3/6 limit games. They are situated six tables on either side of the aisle.

Tables 15 through 19 are just a little deeper into the poker room near the wall on the right, in between both poker podiums. 15 through 17 are more 1/2 or 2/4 games. 19 is almost always a 10/20 hi low O8 game.

Tables 20 through 25 are usually 2/5 nl games and are directly in the center of the main poker room.

Tables 26 through 38? are the tables that are in the corner in front of the bathrooms, and are usually only open on weekends and mostly always are 1/2 nl games and occasionally a 2/5 or 1/2 PLO game.

Tables 58 is directly in front of the podium towards the back of the poker room where the shift managers and dealers are coordinated, and the tables flow towards the front of the high limit room descending to the high 30s. On weekdays 58 is usually table 1 of the tournament tables. On weekends they usually spread the most popular games such as 1/2 nlh 2/5 nlh or 2/4 limit.

Tables 66 and 67 are the two tables in the ultra hi limit room in the back.

Tables 68 through 73 are in the high limit room to the right of the high limit podium, and are usually the non holdem games. 68 is usually a high limit mixed game. 69, 70, and 71 are often 20/40 stud high. 72 is 75/150 stud high. 73 is often a mixed game of some limit.

74 is immediately to the left of the high limit podium and is usually a 40/80 limit hold em. 75 is 20/40 holdem. 76 is 10/20 hold em. 77 is any of the limit holdem games. 78 through 83 are usually your 5/10 no limit holdem games. 84 and 85 tend to be the highest limit NLHE games like 10/25 and 25/50.

(1) how fishy is the 5/10 game on saturday mornings-afternoon? i'm thinking about putting in a long session all day satuday but might just sit in the 2/5 before switching to 5/10 in the evening if it's gonna be a reg-fest.

(2) any chance of a 10/25 nlhe going off sat afternoon?

If you're criteria for sitting is for the 5/10 to be fishy you might not be suited for it. Saturday morning will consist of people still stuck from Friday night that are tired, a couple of the older nut peddlers and a few randoms mixed in. The 10/25 will definitely be running, hope to see you there.

i'm not afraid about not being able to hang at the 5/10 but it's always nice to have a few non-2+2 posting grinders at the table. i'll be sure to say hello and introduce myself (although you prob know who i am by now)

Glad i grinded 24 straight hours saturday into sunday morning, chasing every suited connector, to oblivion. Only to find out the small bbj hit an hour after I left, and the main bbj hit that same nite. Guess I should have played the plo tourney!

All you need is a username and a password to post on 2+2. Don't know how that magically makes someone to worry about at the table. Most just troll NVG

This has always been my pet peeve....

I agree. I read 2+2 and totally am not someone to fear at the table. I saw a kid play the other day who most likely was a 2+2er(had the usual demographics and play style) and he was terrible.

Thanks, that's typically how it is played.

But do you know for sure if that is how the rules are written up for Borgata?

A couple of weeks ago a poster on this board was laughed at by myself and others for saying that the Water Club is closed midweek.

I stayed at the Water Club Sunday and Monday Night. This morning I asked if I could extend my stay by a night and I was told that I couldn't because the Water Club is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays until May.

I'm too lazy to look up whoever it was that said it originally, but I apologize.

Oh and another thing... I was in the room playing 2/5 when the BBJ hit. You should have seen the line to cash out 10 minutes after it hit. There had to be 40-50 people waiting to cash out.

Also, there was one guy who had gone to the bathroom and missed the hand. He ended up getting about $3k total from everyone there.
