Thx for info.

But very bad news for east coast Poker Tournament Fans.

This was a small step towards normality of Poker Tournament Superiority of past.

Oh well !!

Yes, no. Cash/credit at any of the restaurants. Except amphora, they write down your card number.

How about room charges? Can you charge stuff to the room yet and earn tier credits for spend? There have been conflicting reports ...

Can’t comment on that. Haven’t stayed there since the hack.

How can Borgata still be advertising the mini series on their website?
Are we sure it's canceled?
It starts in 2 days!

Or maybe their internal networks which are just beginning to recover from a cyberattack that had them reeling for a week and a half aren't the best source of information at the moment.

Why would they put on Bravo that it's cancelled if it's not?

Yes, it's definitely cancelled

The website has a bunch of pages that haven't been updated in 2 weeks, Casino promos and the poker page being one of them. The Beat the Book page hasn't been updated since week 1 for reference.

Side note, really upsetting this Cyberattack messed up the first poker series at Borgata since covid I planned to play in. I can only hope there will be a legitimate poker series for the late Fall/Winter similar to a pre covid normalcy.

I'm aware of the hack but how hard is it to remove something from a website?
They were able to update the website to indicate that they are not accepting online hotel bookings!
Sigh.

And that interview is from before the hack.

Just for "fun", I called the Borgata poker room and told them that the (canceled) Fall mini-series (that was scheduled to start tomorrow) is STILL on their website.

Amazingly, I was told that Borgata is locked out of their own website and can't make any changes.
That seems crazy.
It's been 2 weeks! Some news sites are reporting that things are back to normal!
Don't they have backups? It can't be that the DNS is re-directed.... so.... I don't get it.
Why is it SO difficult to fix?

Just curious....

The hackers literally have control of their entire system. They can't do anything but to pay them, or look for other solutions. I don't know if getting back into the system, ever, is in the cards for them without paying

The hackers are supposedly a group of teenagers from the UK. They've made a few statements including accusing a couple of big dogs from mgm of insider trading. They gained access by targeting an employee they found on LinkedIn.

Beyond embarrassing for mgm. A casinos opsec is supposed to be top notch.

I think atlantic city poker is now officially dead. I mean it's been dead, we were all living a pipe dream thinking this pathetic series was the start of a new Era.

I'm really hoping parx starts up their big stax again in Q1 of 2024.
