re: Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa (Atlantic City, NJ) -- FAQ added 2013.04.04

It was just a few days ago when I was telling someone I was tired of hearing people complaining on this board and nitpicking about the littlest things and now I find myself being one of them......... i have to say that the floor really has been doing a horrible job in the high limit room when it comes to the 10/20 and 20/40 must move games. 3 times in the past week, it has been a mess. Once there was 20 people on the list for the 10/20 with 3 dead spreads right outside the hl room. Someone complained to the floor asking them to call a game and the floor said its up to the shift manager to call a game. After about an hour a game finally gets called to one of the dead tables. last night was an even bigger mess. I go to put my name on the list for 10/20 and get told there are no seats and Im first on the list. After about 1/2 hr I take a closer look and see there are 2 must moves and the main game. One must move table has an open seat and the other has 4 open seats. i go to the podium to ask if I can take one of the seats and he insists that there is only 1 must move and that there is no open seats. I had to literally bring him to the table to show him that there are indeed two must move tables and quite a few open seats before I was finally sat. and then to make matters worse later on in the night our full game became short handed with 6 players. It took over a half hour before 4 names were called off the list. There also seems to be a ton of confusion with the must move lists and whos turn it is to move to the main game. There really has to be a better way

I think i know what has caused this problem lately and i think i have a solution. The problem starts when all 18 tables in the high limit room are taken and the must move 10's and 20's are located outside in the main room. I have noticed that when all 3 10's are in the high limit room, we do not have this confusion. Ths is also why we have big lists for these games and they aren't being called in a timely manner. I will work on these prblems with the floors and shifts this week. Hopefully this will not happen in the future. We also need to be better at shift change. Letting the new shift know about games located in the main room would help a great deal. Anyway, we are working on it and thanks for the input.

Could also just start the 10s in the main room which would eliminate this problem and free up weekend space in the back for games that actually belong there.

i could care less if the game was in the parking lot, just as long as the tables are kept full.

re: Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa (Atlantic City, NJ) -- FAQ added 2013.04.04

Spent a couple of lovely (aka profitable) days at Borgata this weekend, but surprisingly the room was not as packed as I had thought/hoped, given that it was a holiday weekend! Hotel rooms were completely sold out, but the poker room was less than full, which is unusual for such a weekend. Anyway, looking forward to the upcoming tourney schedule starting next week

By the way, did anyone get a Sept./Oct. parking pass in the mail?
