Well they did get back to me rather quickly to let me know they appreciate my business and room costs could always fluctuate. Guess I shouldn't take comps for granted, but when you get something for free over a long period of time, you come to start expecting it. Still think Borgata is the best and hopefully they will come through with at least a few Saturdays this summer. I used to play all my hours at Showboat till Harrah's properties started cutting back on comp room - since I switched to Borgata, I haven't gone back. I'd hate to get into the habit of spending my summer weekends elsewhere.

I too have seen my Saturday Comp rooms disapear for July and August and they are now at a discounted rate. I truly believe this is because the summer months are much more popular and they can fill the hotel with paying guests. I would hope (and expect) this to be a "summet thing" with the Saturday night comps and after labor day if you play remains at it's current level - we should see the comped Saturday nights return.

He went to the Isle in Pompano, FL. Mike Smith, who used to run the Isle, is now in charge of the upcoming Maryland Live room in MD.

Remember the thing about free rooms, do not dilute your play. If you want free rooms give all of your action to Borgata. Also remember that they like long session, 10 hour days, so if you come down here and play 5 hours here and 5 hours at Harrahs it hurts you. If you are getting 100 hours a month every month in the poker room, you should be getting free weekends.

If I'm playing a shorter session, I'm just gonna play elsewhere. I ruined my average session length which is prob what made my comps vanish.

Is it just me or has there been an increase in the number of guys playing in undershirts and/or bathrobes at Borgata recently? Hey, it worked so well for Taj's image to let people dress like bums I guess it only makes sense for Borgata to give it a try.

Just have them clock you in as a guest and don't use your Borgata card if you are staying only a couple of hours.

Are you serious? It goes by average session length, rather than total hours? That's insane. I often play 15-18 hours a day, but sometimes I'll play 2 hours in the morning, get breakfast and coffee and then come back for 10 hours, get dinner and play 5 more hours. Could it seriously be better for my comps if I just played the 10 hours and didn't clock in for the other two?

Also, what about table changes? If I play at a table for 3-4 hours and switch to another table or go from 1-2 to 2-5 is that hurting my "average session length"?

Session length doesn't matter. How many hours you get in their 24 hour poker clock time period (6AM-5:59AM I believe) is what matters.

That's my undersanding as well. I often arrive early on a Saturday morning - use my card and play a 12 plus hour session. I often plan to leave Sunday early and play a few hours after breakfast. I don't use my card - thus keeping my averagae play per day high.

Yea its an average per day, I should of worded it better. I was unaware of how important this was so when I play four hours and leave, thtts a daily entry of four. If I follow it up with a few more times, my average daily play is around four hours. I imagine if I played more frequently this could be counteracted with my frequency.

If there are any black card members here tonight that can help me out I'd really appreciate it.

Two of my friends are coming down but I can't get them both into Amphora. Max of one guest. Can someone here bring my other friend down and we can give you cash to do it?

Please Pm me if you can help out. Thanks!

I believe Randal is correct

There are 6 to 8 hour thresholds that you need to meet per comped room during a 24 hour gaming day period (6am to 6am), in order to maintain the comps

Interesting....I'm surprised it even goes by daily average. I may need to stop playing Fridays. I roll down after work, arrive around 9, and play 3 or 4 hours. Then I play 10-15 hours on Saturday and Sunday, but the Friday sessions could be killing my average. Would be a shame to play without clocking in because I would lose the comp dollars for that time...would probably still make enough in a year to keep the black card though.

Or you could play at another casino where you don't care about your room offers for the short sessions and earn yourself a free meal in comps every once and a while.

I will be down there this weekend but I never know when I go to the lounge and sometimes go to the buffet if line is too long. You could always ask people in line if there is only 1 person. I will be at the 2/5 tables always got my black rider slippers and tomorrow black socks with all black / Sunday gray socks all blue
