Yup. Nearly every casino-hotel either has a resort fee or charges a la carte for wifi. It gets paid for 1 way or another.

Put in a lot of hours Sunday night and Monday. Really good games on Monday. You can tell the BBJ is high by the amount of buzz around the room. It's actually kind of annoying when that is the topic of conversation 80% of the time. Several near misses throughout the room yesterday though. One hand I rivered a royal with two tens on the board. No quads for him though...

As for the wifi issue I agree it would be really nice to have it in the rooms. I don't even get great 3g in the rooms unless I am over by the window.

And lastly, I haven't had the change to meet the new Stan (Vinny, right?) but I really hope he or another high up has a presence on here. I think that direct line of communication really helped the room over the past few years.

No no card protector, and he went all in, and about 5 seconds later left the table. I then called and turned over my cards and asked if his hand was dead and told the dealer to muck it, the dealer said nothing and did nothing and since I was not 100% sure on the ruling I waited 15 seconds or so for the player to get back.

If you weren't sure of the ruling, why wouldn't you ask the dealer before calling?

He went all in and about 10 seconds later walked away. He said he had KK, but I think he just missed his flush draw.

And no I won the hand, but the fact that I asked the dealer to muck his hand, and the dealer did nothing, didn't say anything at all. I think my words was I call, his hand is dead right (after I put my chips in and flip my cards over).

So for you guys again, I won the hand, I just wanted the ruling, i.e if it happens ever again, and the dealer does not muck his hand, I will be more vocal about the rules. But I guess we will find out next week if I get to speak to Vinny Saturday night which might be tough cause I always see him being busy.

Ok guys I talked to Vinny, very nice guy and here is the ruling:
In cash games, his hand was dead, in a tournament, the hand must be shown and is live.

Also he will not be on 2P2, he said there is somebody else monitoring the boards. As well the extra night a week that we were getting from Stan when we sent him a PM will not be available anymore.

Played with Michael Phelps Sunday evening in the high limit room. Was just hanging out with a couple friends trying to start a PLO game, and saw Mike playing and found out it was 1/2(/5) with a 500 max. Given that I saw him playing in the ultra high limit room Saturday evening, I thought perhaps we could get in on some of the action. Looked like it was Mike, his gf, and a few others who were regs in the room. It was 6 handed, but Mike was cool with the 3 of us playing despite our grinder-ish looking appearances. It was a good decision since all 3 of us got killed. Game played more like 2/5 with a few blind raises mostly from Mike. Was definitely a good time with a good amount of action. (again, mostly from Mike) Just talked some poker, golf, sports, drinking, degening. No mention of swimming or anything that nature. Couple random railbirds, but they were chased off after a few seconds. Was nice to have the opportunity to play in the high limit room while hanging out a great athlete, 2 things that are few and far in between.

Damn sweet story. Seen him there a bunch but never had the opportunity to play. I definitely would've sat in that game just for the story to tell.

I think he means the part where he isn't going to be on the board. That is pretty terrible imo.

You mean the back or the super high limit room with the two tables?

@ borgata? 4 bets total unless there is a straddle, then it's 5.

Just the back. He was playing in the super high limit room on Saturday with a security guard outside, so I thought there might be a chance to play at a less showcased table. It was the table in the first row to the very right, so most people wouldn't see it unless they already were in the high limit room or happened to walk by at the right angle.
