Thank you. ...delightful as it is enables and is consistent with a recidivist habit: parking in the Borgata lot in the summer.
Yeah, I received it too. But I guess you have to wait for it in the mail as there is no way to click on it. I hope I get it before I leave next week. (Yeah, I know it is nitty, but I love me some free parking)

The guy was a good dealer and said he had just had an energy drink, but it also was an unusually tight game with a good number of chops, blind steals, and headsup pots.

I'm coming in a couple of weeks. reg 5-10NL player across the country. Couple of questions.

I can either get a Borg suite or a Water Club regular room comped. Which do I want and what is the difference between the 2 sides of the property?

Are there enough 5-10 regs to make this game go everyday? Is there better poker at these stakes here or at the Taj?

I also have a room at Harrah's Resort. Where should I play blackjack?

For those of you that know about AC, what's the hottest nightclub on Saturday night?

TIA.

Which borg suite? Fiore? Water club is just a separate, updated tower. Both towers (WC and Borgata) connect to the casino floor. The WC rooms are newer, with nicer but smaller bathrooms. Fiore's are larger rooms, have a larger bathroom with closet, soaking tub, separate shower. Both should have flat screen TV's. If you plan on using the pool, go with the water club (gives you free access to outdoor pool/bar/etc). If not, go with the larger borgata suite.

5-10 is almost always running 24/7. You won't find 5-10 running at any other AC casino during the week. Occasionally 5-10 may run at Taj or Harrah's on weekend nights, but not always. 10-25 or 25-50 NL (both uncapped) are almost always running at Borg Thursday nights through the weekend.

Clubs: mur.mur or mixx at the borgata, or Harrah's pool at Harrah's for Saturday night. All three should be a good time with a good ratio (hot f:m).

In summary, I would just stay at the Borgata for everything (poker/blackjack/pool/clubs). You can't really go wrong.

Just checked my reservation, and yes, it is a Fiore suite, so that seems cool. It seems, then, that not staying at the Water Club does not give me (free) access to the pool? That's okay, I guess. That pool is kinda small, and since I'll also be at Harrah's and I'm a Diamond there, I should be able to get access there, I imagine.

Thanks for the low-down. If you're the kinda guy that's into bottle service and all that, let me know.

The regular borgata tower also has pool, spa, gym, outdoor sun-bathing, etc.

Basically there are two pools, one on the spa/2nd floor of the Borgata tower (but it is indoor only) and a second outdoor pool on the first floor of the Water Club lounge. This pool has a bar, more of a younger crowd, etc. You need a wristband for access to the WC pool, which is "only" accessible with a WC room reservation. The Harrah's pool is all indoor, basically a domed club with ~30-40 cabanas of different sizes for bottles. Harrah's pool club won East coast mega club of the year or sth this past year.

I would just stay at the Fiore as it's larger and more comfortable.

I frequent them all fairly regularly and you can't really go wrong. As far as "talent" it's basically Borgata>Harrah's>>>>>>>>>everywhere else in AC. Harrah's being more affordable does attract some of the younger partying crowd (groups of 4-6 21-23 females packed in rooms).

- murmur:smaller underground club with two tiers of tables (request dance floor for bottles; the top 'kings row' tables are super fail).
- mixx: larger two level club at borgata
- harrah's: huge superclub with pool inside of a dome; more of your jersey shore type of crowd

To add to MessiahKid's messages...

Fiore suite will be a longer walk to the poker room than the Water Club. Also, the Water Club gives you access to an indoor pool in addition to 2 outdoor pools, and I think kids aren't allowed in the WC pools.

Why does this thing only seem to go at odd times in the middle of the week and not on the weekends? I will probably be around again from tomorrow through Saturday; if anyone else wants to play please put your names on the list and if you will start short, try to let someone know. If anyone wants to work with me on a time to get it going over the next few days, let me know!

also, is that one 20 game typically full w/ a list? any idea when it starts/what time i shoudl aim to get there tuesday morning?

5-10 is not just always running (I've never seen a time it isn't running, and I've been up at odd times like 5 AM and what not, there may only be 1 table running and short handed at weird times, but it'll be running), but during peak hours there will be multiple tables, so you can even game select. Heck on the weekends it's not uncommon to see 4-5 tables of 5-10 at peak times.

I dunno how black jack varies from casino to casino but I do occasionally play black jack at borgata and I have no complaints. Lot of friendly dealers.

Another awesome weekend at the Borgata. While I made a contribition to the poker economy at the Borgata, I loved every minute.

Stan, thanks for your help in trying to get me the best deal. Sorry the situation didnt work out but you did your best. I owe you. If you ever get to South Florida dinner is on me.

I hope to meet you some day.

I am an old, fat "kid" from Brooklyn, I have played poker in many places. None come close to the Borgata experience.

It usually goes at odd times because 90% of the time I am the one who starts it. On the weekends I prefer to play bigger so I don't start it on the weekends. I'll probably start it again tomorrow or thursday if nothing bigger is running.

I would be happy to play 15/30 as well. Any bigger than that is too rich for me though.

20 game usually is going by 11. It will be full with a list most of the time. The 40 game may start up at some point. Just put your name on the list.

Does anyone know how long it takes to get the $150 hold removed from a debit card. I am coming into the Borgata in a couple weeks and I can't put it on my cc for various reasons so I'm gonna go debit. I've gotten two different answers from room reservations(up to 30 days) and the front dest(a little over 5 business days).

Room reservations also told me you get credited back the day you check out via credit card and the front desk said 3-5 business days.

What is everyone's experience?

As someone who works at a hotel, unless borgata is different, it is entirely dependent on your financial institution. Check with your bank. Some banks (the one I bank with) I usually get holds back within the next business day, sometimes two if I'm unlucky. Other banks I've heard of can take 20-30 BUSINESS days. Most hotels will release the hold immediately upon checkout (although usually it doesn't hit batch processing until overnight), then it's 100% dependent on your bank

edit: most banks fall within the 3-5 business day category though, fwiw

you will get it back a lot faster if you put charges on that card (like the tax if your room is comped). if you don't use any of the 150, they can take two weeks + to get it back. but if there are charges and say you get back 125, it will get released as soon as you check out because they are using the same authorization for the charges... hope that makes sense.

I use my debit card everytime i stay here. Usually takes 5-7 buisiness days.
