I wasn't blaming Borgota for my bad cars, like I said I'm heading back today . Just was rough to be able to put in some good weekend hours and not have any cards to do something with. Let alone losing like 180 because of a few pots.

I like the action at the Borgata but whoever decided that the TV's should be 50 feet in the air is an idiot.

huh? I mean, I've never played higher than 10/20 LHE or 2/5 NL there, but I've never gotten this impression at all.

I find it to be true of the limit games, especially 10/20. I ddon't get the same impression about NL, although I've only played 1/2.

rotfl, 10/20 is dominated by people who try to be nits but don't know how

20/40 has a couple actual nits, one gave me a speech last week about how he thought I was a good played after I 3bet his AJ with KJ and won

sadly the nits rarely play 40/80 anymore :-(

In other news can we get a petition to have another wireless AP put in the high limit section? The signal is pretty bad at some of the tables.

Really? I've always been pretty impressed with the signal in the back. Maybe it's just at the limit tables where there's an issue. It helps keep me off tilt if I can surf the web or check emails to take a mental break when the game gets slow.

Actually the limit tables are mostly ok. The worst is the one right next to the garbage can thats blocked by the pillar.

Maybe its just my device, idk. But no matter where I am the signal fluctuates wildly at times.

I just got back from Borgata. BBJ was $98k and change. Story at the table was that a married couple recently won both sides of the jackpot. That musta been a happy car ride home.

I heard that story too.

I had no problems with wireless.

Confirmed with the floor. Quad tens vs. quad sevens, and they shipped it in on the flop. Good to know that they weren't soft playing each other, at least.

I suppose it's around 16M:1 to win both sides of the BBJ. Pretty sick.

All games are BBJ eligible, it is up to the players on the table. Consistently, 2/5 and above NL, and 10-20 and above Limit will not have BBJ tokes, unless the table chooses to do so.

Actually, all the 2/5NL tables are BBJ eligible. At the very, very beginning I saw a few non-BBJ tables, but they quickly disappeared (lack of demand) as best I can tell.

5/10NL and above are not BBJ eligible, at the request of the players.

I was there on Saturday, all 4, 10/20 limit tables were BBJ tables.

The 10-20 limit is as high as the BBJ eligibility goes right now. 20-40 limit and higher do not get to choose to be part of the BBJ. That goes for 5-10 N/L also. 2-5 N/L gets the BBJ dollar taken out of the pot as does 10-20 limit.

I like Borgata... I just have a tendency to be categorically unlucky whenever I play there.

It's pretty hot and cold for me. I only play $2/5 NL. Usually when I bust out, it's a bad beat, and it's always when the dealers are changing tables so I have a nice audience watching. Last time I was there I had pocket Kings on the button (standard pre-flop raise to $25, didn't limp in trying to slow play) busted by JTo. Flop came JT8, guy with the JT was an aggressive player that I didn't have much respect for, and I couldn't get away from it. Another time there I busted with JJ to 99 (99 flopped quads, that was pretty ugly), another time I had AK in the small blind, pre-flop raise to $30 by some maniac on the button who was holding the mighty 23o, of course I just call the $30 and A33 comes out on the flop. That's the last time I flat with AK pre-flop, it's either fold or re-raise.

I actually like the Showboat better as far as atmosphere goes (too much noise, too much hustle and bustle at Borgata for my taste), but they usually only have one $2/5 NL going and it's the same people, and if you don't get in on that table you can be waiting for hours. I know when I go to Borgata I'll have no problems getting in on a $2/5 NL game. If they had more $2/5 action at Showboat, I'd be going there.

Read overplayed one pair on coordinated board.

You know this happens 1 out of 5 times right?

Universal strategies in poker are usually a good idea.

Just saying it may not be the Borgata.

Maybe I'm lucky. I've been going to Foxwoods for years and the weirdest thing I've come close to seeing is a guy who was sitting in his underpants on a sofa in the waiting area of the poker room at about 4am. He was thrown out and banned for some unknown amount of time (probably 24 hrs or a week or something). That morning he shows up at the table and a guy says "weren't you thrown out for being in your underwear" and he sheepishly replies "yes". So the guy says "guess they didn't recognize you with your clothes on."

My first time at the Borgata was last Friday night. I'm done playing at 2am or so and go downstairs for a veggie burger. I'm standing on line with two guys who are collectively 6 sheets to the wind. There are two girls playing with each other. One of whom is wearing tight sweatpants with either a thong or no underwear. She is voluptuous and is fairly pretty. Her friend is wearing tight jeans showing off great legs and a jeans jacket. She is very pretty too. So this young guy is fixated on the girl in the tight sweats. Me and his buddy are egging him on to go over and get her number. The girls meanwhile are doing battle with each other using the chrome "swords" that everybody gets once they place their orders (like chrome sticks with an order number stuck in the top). And after about 5 minutes of this the young guy walks over to the girl in jeans, throws a hundred dollar bill on the floor next to her, and says "I've got $100 on 63" which happened to be the other girl (who is busy sliding her butt sensuously up and down a wall about 10 feet away). The girl in the jeans picks up the $100 bill and shoves it in her pocket without saying one word to the guy. The guy shuffles back to his friend without saying a word himself. Some time later my order comes and the young guy comes up to me and says "you owe me $100". At which point I set the record for downing a veggie burger, head to my car, and go to my motel.
