All my comped rooms have been removed for the summer. Cheapest offer I have is 179$ a night now (Mondays). I play roughly 20-30 hours a week Fri-Sun at 5/10 NL and higher.

Just an FYI. Not sure if this is no longer valid/they are switching systems or something but this is what I'm able to book now.

Just talked to the powers that be, apparently this happened to a lot of people (and didn't affect others) but is a glitch in the system. Should be back to normal next week.

Glitch = MGM testing new system ???

I can confirm this too. My rate calendar took every night away comped. I always have Sunday-Thursday with some Fridays comped and significantly discounted Saturdays. I called up and it was indeed a computer glitch, should be fixed soon.

Still gota wonder if its MGM testin the waters...

Has anyone, besides me, noticed that your comp dollar balance towards your Black card hasn't been growing even though you might be playing a ton of hours ?
My comp dollar balance seems to be added as it should but the online balance towards the Black card hasn't moved since maybe sometime in April.

My comp calendar is back to normal today.

And I think my black card meter has been moving, though I don't pay too much attention since it's never going to go high enough.

Why did borgata add optional dealer add one to tournaments? I'm sorry but this is ludicrous. Charge the players a tax that you must pay to get extra chips lol. I hope players tip less for mtt cashes now. It's goofy to have an optional dealer tip when it would be crazy not to make due to extra chips acquired.

Why not just add 5 dollars to buy in and give that to dealers?

Maybe there's some bookkeeping advantage if the house never handles the money?

It's not "pay $5 more when you register," it's "ask your dealer for details."

There are several reasons- accounting, taxation, disclosure. Each casino has working agreements with IRS and state divisions regarding dealer gratuities, how they are accounted, reported, cashed out, etc.
The last thing a casino would do is to have some sort of gratuity that has a Grey area in anyones mind. (when it comes to dealers)

How hard is it for a resident to get a safety deposit box?

The disappointing part about the dealer add-on is that Borgata already subtracts 3% of tournament prize pools for dealer tips. Doing either 3% or $5 for the dealers upfront would be fine. Doing both and hiding the $5 for the dealers part of the buyin (it is not really optional when its for 20% of the starting stack) is a little bit deceptive. If you are unhappy with that, do not post in the 2p2 thread, but rather let the poker room manager know next time you are down there.

You need to be a high limit room reg or a Titanium table games player. But if that were the case, you would probably already know who to talk to (Female poker host whose name starts with M). If you are a 1 2 or 2 5 player or only come to Borgata sporadically - zero shot.

Has anyone had any luck getting a more favorable room rate for a Saturday night after putting in a long session? I'm already staying Sunday night comped, and want to come Saturday (before the wife comes) to play for 12-16 hours. The offer on the myborgata site is $350+. There's no way I can play for a long time, and maybe get a room for $150-$200?

Alternatively, any ideas for hotels that would be a reasonable Uber ride from Borgata and reasonably priced for a Saturday night? Usually the Sheraton nearby has a nice rate on Hotwire, but even that's $225 after fees for the night.

You can try hoteltonight. It's an app that give heavy discounts if you book within 2 days of the actual hotel stay.

Here's an advanced play: if you are not averse to playing overnight, you can check in to your Sunday room around 8-9am Sunday morning (especially if you are willing to give the person at the desk a $10 tip).

I think they are actually giving out new boxes. They have been a lot more proactive recently in drilling boxes of inactive players.

Somewhere I saw that you can currently use Borgata comps at other M life properties, but need to go to the rewards desk to make it work.

Hmm landed in Vegas and asked for comp transfer at the desk, they said they don't have comp transfer.

Maybe it's because the merge between mlife and borgata hasn't been completed yet.
