I was there today. Place was packed for the $30 tourny. I got to play 5-10 stud/8 with Greg Raymer, Really nice guy. I had a good time.

That's cool...I didn't see Stud8 running when I went. I hope there is a good turnout for the WPT tourneys.

How about posting the actual address of this place. I have been unable to find it.

Its right here

Posted map that did not work - but if you search for regency mall - its just east.

Very nice room. They still have the stupid low buy in caps that the rest of the state seem to wisely moved away from - so the players will go broke faster than they should. Most of the crowd is from the other two rooms - which are really hurting now, but there have been a decent group of new bad locals and a lot of the Georgia boys checking it out.

What is the min/max buy in on 1/2nl, 1/3nl(if they have that)?

There is no 1/2NL or 1/3NL. Lowest they offer for NL is 2/2 which is a $40 min and $200 max.

Wish they would spread a 1/3NL game, are they allowed to do so? I played 2/2NL there about 3 weeks ago it was pretty soft, coming back for Event #1 of WPT Series next month.

I will be playing in a couple of the tourneys during the WPT series.

Is anyone interested in a low stakes NLHE/PLO mix cash game?

Had a decent 2/5nl session here over the weekend. Like most of Florida people act like they hate money.

The room is nice. Lots of room. New chips make your hands hurt but, I can deal with that. The best part of this room are the cocktail girls. Some of the best I have seen outside of the Borgota and the ones the Hollywood Hardrock used to have. Not that they are good at their job, the just look really good.

Same (hoping to play the first tourney and maybe the 6-max one), and yes would love to play the low stakes mix.

I have no clue why they are doing 2-2 (perhaps to make the action quicker and a bit easier for the dealer?) That usually is more suitable in a 2-5 NL Game though where I have seen some casinos make both the SB and the BB 5$. ultimately it played like a 1-2 game because most players are going to base their pre-flop raise on the BB, so I generally saw 10-15$ pre-flop raises. Not the 18, 20-25$ raises you usually see in a 1-3. Ultimately, that 1$ just adds up over time and if you are not running well the first 1-2 hours you definitely notice your stack is notably shorter than if it was a 1-2 game. The max buy in should be $300 and I and a few others passed on that request to the floor.

I'm not sure but I think they have a 2-2 structure to differentiate it from the 1-2 Limit game they spread.

Are there ever any PLO games going??? I thought Orange Park occasionally had them (not sure if any1 knows plz let me know/correct me) but haven't gotten a chance to go to the regency room to see if they have it.

Re: BestBet (Jacksonville, FL)

Depends on the day. On the weekends, there's typically one 5/5 PLO table running with 3-4 people on the waiting list. I've seen it run during the middle of the week as well, but it takes longer to start and doesn't seem to last long. It didn't run last night.

I am planning to stop by Jacksonville soon. Just wanna find out where to play when I have time available. So, what type of no limit hold'em do they spread weekdays? Any 5/10NL or bigger going consistently? Any good games at all? Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. Are bigger NL games tight or loose? Mostly occupied by local pros for those games? I assume so considering the economy right now. But, just asking. :)
