Aviator Casino (Delano, CA)
The Aviator opened their poker room recently. Has anyone played there who can comment on the number of tables, games spread, action, etc.? Thanks.

Re: Aviator Casino, Delano, CA, Poker Thread
Wow. I know the owner and his partner. I thought they weren't opening til sept - oct. Haven't been there , but will check it out next time I'm in the valley. I'll have to shoot them an email and maybe I'll be able to answer some of your Qs.

I talked with a guy who I know who is helping to open and run the place. They are opening for poker on Feb 1. Will try to check it out within the next few months and report back.

Re: Aviator Casino, Delano, CA, Poker Thread
I'm playing at the Aviator right now for the first time. It is a pretty classy place with a wide open floor plan and nice decor. There are a few 1/2nl games and one 2/3nl game and a big game with the owner. I hear they sometimes play 25/25 PLO, but tonight it is centered around Joey porter (AZ cardinals), so they're sticking to NL. Wish I had more of my bankroll with me. It is right off the freeway if you're passing thru Delano (???).

I remember calling them to ask what the max buyin was for the 1/2 game. They said $40. I'm never, ever going there because of that.

I guess 50bb cap is better than 20, but if I wanted to play 50bb max i'd go to GW.

200/3 ==> 67 BB ftw.
pretty decent game and if you're looking for a game in between the GW 2/2 and 3/5 games, this is it.

65 vs 50 isnt a big difference.
I enjoy the 3/5 game but it runs rarely and is so hard to get into when it runs.

Seems like a dead post, but anyone know how the games are here compared to GW?

Re: Aviator Casino (Delano, CA)
Came up here for my 21st birthday from Bakersfield. Played the Sunday tournament. 16~ runners. I will never play here again. slow, unprofessional poker dealers (really... football jerseys and no ID/Certification visible???) floor men in jerseys and in hoodies? half the field were employee props or employees who got time off to play. Huge angle shots ( mostly from the dealer props ) and total prize pool / spots payed not updated even an hour after the end of rebuys. My dad had the same experience and decided to never come again. I believe him now.Thanks, Aviator. I'll stay at Golden West for my poker needs.

Re: Aviator Casino (Delano, CA)
listen bro, when it comes to live poker, you've yet to leave your driveway, let alone venture 'round the block. The Aviator runs their NFL promo on Sundays, just like the GWC on Monday nights. In reference to my earlier post, I think this is a strong post to make based off of just 1 visit where you ran bad (speaking in general terms). Al is kind enough to make himself available through the Facebook forum for any and all questions or concerns anyone may have. Point being transparency and good faith are implied. I implore you to give the Aviator another chance. If not, have fun playing at that dump on Union where ownership hides behind their retarded management mules.
