Out celebrating St. Patricks day last night, so stopped by after the Hawks game and was pleased to see a 1/2 game going with another table about to open around 11:00. Hope this room keeps going - really like playing here!

Played yesterday for the hand high each hour. Action was good my table was deep there were 5 tables. This was the first time I had played there and the room was nice but everything else is a dump specially the area around the casino. I mite go back but way would i pass up the shoe to go here? Maybe if these good promotion's continue. O one last thing they had free hot dogs and chips in the room and they have a pop machine in the room that was nice

Poker Atlas says $2/$5 runs always? Seems tough to believe based on recent posts. Anyone in the area have a guess to what kind of action( bigger than 1/2) they'll get for HPT weekend?

Don't know if it's true but they should. Majestic Star beat them. Actually, Majestic Star destroyed them. When that's true you throw in the towel. Nobody to blame but themselves either.

Yup it is closed. The room was nice but the property its self is a dump. I played in this room one time when they ran a high hand on Saturday it was good then but man its off the beat path and now that cline is closed it sucks getting to.

There were a couple regs who openly talked strat every hand and were very friendly with the dealers. Even worse they openly talked nit strat. I fold QJ from the small blind (after showing it to the dealer who'd then whisper to them during the hand) there and I save money and it adds up and blah blah blah. Tall skinny bald guy and a Paul MaGriel look-a-like.

That and/or the room would be dead empty at 7 pm on a Friday night. I'd have given them a little drunk action just to be somewhere else now and then if not for the above.

Sad to see the room close, they did a good job with the HPT, way better job than the Majestic Star which was (and still is) a crap hole run by amateurs.

Meh, I mean obviously the room sucked and was a one table room because the room sucked. Within that one table dynamic though there were a couple regs who should be absolutely ashamed of themselves.

hahahhahaha. RIP Ameristar. How do you get beat out by the Majestic? I didn't think it was possible. Most of the employees who moved to Ameristar will probably be stonewalled by their former casino. Sucks for them.
