So I'm a mtt player that has recently been staked and have to play sng for a good sample before moving up to mtts. Im currently playing $2.50 180 turbos and $5 psko 90s. Played about 500 games. Went on a downswing buy had a good coaching session and have been snowballing uphill since.

Thing is I see some people's graphs at these games and at the 3.50 180s and they have like 10s of thousands profit and even $100k+... what makes these micro grinders so good? Are they just playing splid and putting in mad volume or are they abusing Huds and or standard + pushing all marginal spots?

Using an icm calculator I imagine will help your push shove game? Re-steal spots are things I want to work on as I imagine noticing where players are potentially weak and taking advantage can really help.

Yes, they grind thousands upon thousands of tournaments, and yes, they play solid, and yes, they push edges, because together that all adds up to a lot of profit. And yes, almost all of them will use HUDs.

Ultimately, it's because they work very hard. You can't just rock up and wing it for a few tourneys and expect to print money. At least, not any more you can't.
