This was a hand I played over a year ago that I found while reviewing hands. As in today, this isnt my style and would of just checked my BB (if this was today) but I was a player with no real skills and played stupid back in the day. (seriously) But back to the hand, I remembered that I decided to 3 bet this player because I was the chip leader and looking to bully the small stacks and take down pots i feel people werent figthing for. After he called I decided I was going to just check it down unless I caught a good piece. I did catch my trey but after that scary flop I was done. What shocked me the most is I won! But what the hell was he cold calling my 3bet with?? any ace he should of shoved, and a paint card has to be in his range and any pair im sure hes willing to get it in as well. I was so lost going over this hand and seeing what you guys think about this.

You didn't 3Bet - the guy limped and you raised.

Don't raise trashy hands vs a short stack because you have no fold equity and you're very likely going to have to get to showdown with a crappy hand.

Just take a free flop in the big blind - that is how you punish a limp, not by bloating the pot OOP with a rubbish holding.

The iso is too small so the answer is pretty much anything he limped.

I don't play like this, but if you do then c-betting flop is mandatory as he's calling any two to see if he hits. That you have hit your 3 is irrelevant - play it like a 5-out draw.

As played you give him 25% equity plus maybe a street of implied odds.

To be honest it doesn't even matter what he had ,this hand is clearly a mistake, anyway you have an SPR of less than 1 as played there is no way we can consider check folding after flopping a pair.
