Turbo vs Regular playing style Turbo vs Regular playing style

I heard a lot of people say that you are supposed to play more aggressive in turbo-speed tournaments compared to regular-speed tournaments, even if the situation is exactly the same, not talking about general play which it obviously is more aggressive.
For example: 20BBs deep in turbo vs 20BBs deep in regular, all stack sizes same, all players same only the speed of the blinds changes faster in the future.
Why do you play more marginal spots in the turbo but not regular? I don't see why there is a difference in how the hand should be played just based on the blind speeds.

Thx

It's generally the same, as the EV of a single hand does not change.

'people say' that most likely because you will see more hands in a slower format, so you can argue for passing on really thin spots since there is less pressure and you'll have more opportunities to find a better spot. Something else that may affect things is if you find the player pools are different - maybe reg speed players are more conservative and you can actually be more aggressive because they will call less.

Try playing both, or if you are playing both, post hands where you think it is a close decision. It's hard to discuss anything beyond broad generalizations otherwise.

You play a lot more hands in regular games so you can make more +EV decisions in the long run so ROI is a lot higher. I play turbos because people make a lot more mistakes mid/end game and it ends quicker. You should find the balance that makes you the most money.

You play a lot more aggressively in turbos because you are short stacked more often but they're the same in every way.
